I treat them to lunch. The lead man, warranty officer and other service crew. It's not required, it's just that I always make sure to build relationships. Just like in Honda, I usually get discounts and free labor or items if possible.

It might look like you have paid more than the service and free labor but sometimes, some whims that I'd like them to do that will take some "talks and fees" and will take time are being "passed" right away.

Additional benefits include their concern and sometimes they would even volunteer to work beyond their office hours. For example, my vehicle stopped running and I called one of the service crew of Honda. He did arrange a towing service and accompanied me until the wee hours until we secured the vehicle.

This kind of scenario won't be a concern for those enjoying Yojin's warranty not until it is expired.

There is more than this, as I always believed that meetups are never a coincidence and not chance but opportunity to be of service in any manner possible.

    I just saw this article,

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring is an almost perfect hatchback

    Mack Hogan| *macklinhogan

Published 4:00 PM ET Sat, 12 May 2018CNBC.com

I've been impressed by Mazda's other models, so I had high hopes for the Mazda 3.

It didn't disappoint. The 2018 Mazda 3 offers a fun driving experience with a refined ride for a price that demands consideration.

You can always nitpick, but Mazda's built a small car with no glaring or deal-breaking faults.

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

I spent the last week driving the Mazda 3 and, getting straight to the point, it's superb.

    That shouldn't' be a surprise.

The Mazda Miata is one of my favorite cars to date and I called the Mazda 6 one of the "most impressive and fantastic cars on sale today."

Mazda's been doing a stellar job, and it continues to show with the Mazda 3.

    The Good

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

The Mazda 3 was created by the same design team as the rest of Mazda's modern family of cars. It looks gorgeous for the segment. Despite working with a short, front-wheel drive platform — terrible for proportions — the wizards at Mazda HQ managed to create an athletic and svelte hatchback shape.

The Mazda 3 is offered in two forms, including a hatchback model and a sedan. We tested the $26,970 Grand Touring hatchback, and you can expect to pay $750 less for the sedan. The hatchback's styling and improved practicality are worth the added cost.

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

That price gets you a lot. Our tester had essentially every option boxed ticked except the automatic transmission, offering a slick six-speed row-your-own gearbox instead.

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

Heated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, a heads-up display, radar cruise control and blind-spot monitoring were all included. It also had premium materials throughout and looked more expensive than its price tag would suggest.

The Mazda 3 is more fun than any standard-kit Ford Focus, VW Golf or Honda Civic. Still, Mazda still refuses to offer a performance trim — think Volkswagen GTI or Civic Si — so it can't quite claim the crown for the segment.

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

It's a great commuter car, too. Despite its fantastic handling and naturally-aspirated engine that makes all of its power in the top of the rev range, the 3 is still happy to settle in for highway cruises. It's composed over rough pavement and relatively quiet. It doesn't blow its competitors away in terms of refinement, but it strikes a near-perfect balance between backroad fun and interstate cruising.

    The Bad

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

The flaws with the Mazda 3 are minute and mostly unimportant. I don't like the dull gauge cluster or the lack of one-touch up windows, but I don't have any major complaints.

I wish Mazda made an even fancier version with the rosewood trim from the CX-9 Signature and more equipment like cooled seats and lane-keeping that centers the car. I wish there was a faster model, too.

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

But these aren't actual problems. I like the Mazda 3 so much that I wish there were additional models for every possible use.

    How to configure yours

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

Start with a 5-door Mazda 3 Grand Touring with the manual transmission. You can get the automatic if you want but it betrays the "driving-first" mantra of the car. Mazda's lovely Soul Red and Machine Gray paints are both $300 options you should consider.

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

The Grand Touring trim requires a $1,600 premium package, but you can skip the pricey appearance package. That brings the total to $26,685, just shy of our tester which had extra floor mats and a bumper guard.

    Final Thoughts

    Mack Hogan | CNBC

The 2018 Mazda 3 Grand Touring

The Mazda 3 is brilliant and I recommend it to almost anyone who needs a small car. It's practical and gets great fuel mileage. It's well-equipped, well-priced, gorgeous and lovely to drive.

I think youtube vid reviews such as these ones can give a better opinion on the Mazda3:

Here's a nice review of the 2018 Mazda3 2.0 R. The comparison with the 1.5 variant when it comes to overtaking power is quite interesting:

218 Mazda 3 2. R Sedan Review (With Video) – Go Flat Out

Off the line, the Mazda 3 2.0 R is quick, but in overtaking situations, the Mazda 3 2.0 R unfortunately doesn’t feel like a car with a 2-liter engine. While it is not by any means slow or underpowered, the transmission somewhat neuters the experience, probably how the automatic transmission is calibrated in this 2.0 R variant. The 1.5 V feels a bit punchier, thanks to its transmission being more willing to downshift when overtaking.

Under my hands, the Mazda 3 2.0 R netted a fuel consumption of 10.3 km/l, which is about par for the course when it comes to sedans with a 2-liter engine. This has been achieved through trips to Clark, Pagsanjan, and other places that isn’t EDSA, especially since I live in the South.

I don't think he's stepping on the gas pedal enough. [emoji23] Besides he can downshift anytime on the 2.0.

remove the front tires. look at the 2 lower arm bushings. the back might have a tear na. 99% of fwd cars have this design and inherently requires maintenance repairs.

I also have this clanking sound coming from the front right area whenever the car goes through steep speed bumps but interestingly there's no noise on bumpy and uneven roads. Initially I thought it could be a problem from the front suspension but yesterday while I was cleaning the engine compartment I noticed that the windshield spray hose located near the right windshield wiper was not securely fastened inside the plastic cover. The noise was gone after I fastened the hose inside the plastic cover where the right wiper is located. Inspect that area and see if all the hose are securely fastened.

Mazda 2, 6, and BT-50, so I think us M3 owners are okay.

Next gen Mazda 3 with Skyactiv X engine will go back to torsion beam at the rear suspension. Redesigned, the engineers said.

It's got torsion beam axle, but...

Moving up its upcoming Mazda3 from a multi-link independent rear suspension to a torsion beam axle one sounds like a downer, but Mazda does have reasons to their madness. First, the simpler setup allows engineers to fine tune the chassis across a variety of road surfaces. Second, it allows for less noise, harshness, and vibration (an acknowledged Mazda weakness) to enter the cabin because the torsion beam connects the rear wheels with a single steel subframe that twists via a transverse beam. Third, it'll allow for expanded rear seat and cargo space without having to lengthen the wheelbase as much.

For those wanting a sportier driving experience, don't fret. Mazda's torsion beam design is unique in that it broadens at the ends strengthening the area near each wheel helping minimize alignment distortion through the suspension's vertical travel. Mazda also said that during their test parameters, this new set-up is far more superior than the current model's independent multi-link setup in "every aspect."

Head on to www.************ for more.

I have a question, guys. My car is fairly new (M3 2018 1.5V), about 3 months old. I left my headlights on for 2 hours and 30 minutes while the car was off. Stupid of me, I know. When I turned it on, it turned on just fine. I'm just worried a bit that I drained the battery? Or I shouldn't be too worried?
