Did some quick research and it seems that the AIO tweak is possible with the newer infotainment software version. I still I have to dig deeper with the details. Here is my starting point:

Are you referring to the hardwiring process where you have to connect to the CMU? If the owner's not techy then its not recommended. Hehe!

It's for getting the android auto AIO tweak to work. Read through the forum posts and it's quite technical. Some early users complained about some issues like an occasional black screen, blue tooth calls not working, etc.

There's a real risk of screwing up the car's infotainment system so such tweak is not recommended for folks not familiar with installing such software. The process is similar with rooting one's smart phone.

I've used the Transcend DP220, an older version that I bought more than a year ago. Video recording is good even for night time drive. Just buy a microsd with at least 30gb if you need the HD recording mode.

As for a clean wiring setup, there was a previous discussion about this.

Thanks for the feedback on Transcend. Will check out the 230 then.

Btw, been back reading on fuel. Some have suggested to stick to Shell Fuel Save since higher octane supposedly won't make much of a difference. This was also the advise given by the dealer, to stick to 91ron.

I've been a Caltex user since the Platinum came out as I found it to work well with our Mirage much better than Shell (nawala ang katog). Plus I get 3% rebate from HSBC.

Is anyone here using Caltex Silver or Platinum? Any feedback? TIA.

My SA said to stick to max 93. Same reason as what your agent told you.

Regarding which gas station, only advice was to stick to 1 as much as possible. If you go to caltex then stick to caltex. I personally go to petron.

    Hi Mown3rs,

Do you know any alternative to Racing Beat exhaust locally? What's your take on Xhaust Drift? Also, does the dealership fill up the windshield washer fluid when empty on PMS?

Like many, I thought about customizing the 3s exhaust way back & went digging. I realized how Mazda R&D optimized the Skyactivs....leaving us not much room for performance enhancement w/ the usual hardware upgrades like intakes, headers & exhausts. Some tweaks on the exhaust system have actually caused losses instead of gains. I then looked at the bolt-on options...RB stood out. They've been officially developing exhaust systems not just fot Mazda, but w/ Mazda. It's 1pc, not built for shipping ease. No moving joints that need future adjustments. No areas to trap water & dirt that can promote corrosion....& you'll get dyno-proven gains....much more if paired w/ OVTune. With this mod, go with a proper 1 or stay stock.
On PMS, I specifically instruct not to top anything up. My OCD pushes me to do those myself....I've seen how dealerships(even the premiums) top coolant & washer fluid w/ tap.

Thanks, Travs! Great advice as always. On washer fluid, what brand can you recommend? My reservoir is empty after a year. And, how often do we need to fill the coolant system with distilled water. Haven't done for a year.

No trouble, sir. On coolant, check level on reservoir. You may top up w/ distilled water....Absolute, Wilkins are what I grab. The proper coolant fluid is Mazda FL22 available in dealerships. On windshield washer fluid, you can concoct your own....[emoji4]

Recall on some 2018 Mazda3 units. The recall is likely limited to US market only. Still, it's worthwhile to be aware of such recall just in case your car exhibits the issue addressed by the recall.

Mazda Announces Small Recalls for CX-5 and Mazda3 | The News Wheel

    From the article:

The second recall is a little more serious, although only affects 144 vehicles, all of them 2018 Mazda3 models. In the affected vehicles, there is an “incorrect” exhaust valve spring installed in the cylinder head, which over time could cause weird noises, increased engine vibration, and warning lights to turn on—if left alone long enough, the spring could break and stall the engine in a way that prevents it from restarting. Like with the above recall, Mazda has no reports of injuries, but here has added that there have also been no reports of loss of control or accidents.

Hi all - just new here. Got my M3 just a month ago. I have a question regarding the plate relocator. My temp plate was place on the original place but can I still opt for the relocator with leaving drill marks in the original place (not sure if there was any drilling done before). Thanks!

Yes, of course you can opt to relocate. Should there be holes, black upholstery plugs or screws can cover them, sir!

    Anytime, sir![emoji4]
Call Technical Details +639177372958. Ian will advise you on the pros, cons, maintenance & costs of different types of paint protection. Mudflaps & visors, check the OE types. There are hobo model-specific copies over eBay & local vendors like Lamson +639185353975. I'm personally more into retaining the minimalism kodo offers. The 3s won't need much. They're beauties in stock/OEM+ form.....from any/every angle.[emoji4]

Share us your specific plans & we'll see where to get them.

What a beauty!! Sir Travs, do you know where to get an OEM body kit that goes with the top of the line Mazda3? I know it's scrape prone but I'm still considering to install in my 1.5

My right side mirror cap suffered a scratch (caps is the black portion of the side mirror right? not the actual mirror or sensors). Are there any shops selling replacement? Are there any remedies aside replacement? How much would you think it would take to fix it? Thanks

damage is a little deep imo..
