October 4th, 2017 08:29 PM #251Good day to all, just want to verify with you guys my experience today while test driving the cx5 awd sport coz im planning to get one. However during the test drive i felt the ride is somewhat shaky, parang maalog. Parang ride quality ng swift namin. Mas stable pa yung ride sa everest. Sabi ng SA, dahil daw awd yung test unit pero pag yung fwd daw mas okay. May logic ba? And totoo kayang maalog ang ride ng cx5 just as what i experienced sa test drive? Salamat sa sasagot.

October 4th, 2017 08:58 PM #253Anebeyen!!! Naihi ako sa SA mo, he he. I havent driven the AWD as I only have the 2WD. You are coming from what ride Sir? When you say maalog you mean easily felt ang road imperfections?
I drive the cx5 more than my ‘16 montero. I feel fresh more when i get out of the mazda than the monty all else being equal. But thats just me.
Baka naman 50psi yung tire pressure he he.

October 5th, 2017 02:55 AM #255Kung 1st gen ng Everest dito sa Piñas, I guess the Everest has somewhat softer ride. However, sa speeds above 80km/hr, you'll perhaps see the difference. You should also try maneuvering the CX-5 fast on tight corners. The traction control is superb. There are always trade-offs between ride quality and responsiveness, steering etc. For me the CX-5 gets the best of both worlds in terms of balance.
Before I bought the CX-5 I also test drove the Sportage, Tucson, CX-3 and Sta. Fe. My priorities are:
1. Ride quality
2. Power/torque/acceleration/speed/fuel efficiency
3. Exterior and interior looks and color
And guess what I bought? [emoji3]

October 5th, 2017 03:51 AM #256Sir, OT, but may I know what made you decide to get a CX5 over Tucson and Sportage? I can see the CX5 is better in terms of exterior and interior look as well as its feature sets, but the two Korean models are also substantially cheaper, with good CRDI engine and feature set (especially the Sportage GT line).
