September 30th, 2017 06:29 PM #241I know right. Hehe! I was actually surprised because it been 4 weeks that I have been using my CX-5 and I've been through rains and shallow floods.
Will my warranty be voided if I applied undercoat?
Here are some pictures with the "shields" removed taken from a different site. You can see my concern re undercoat.

Anything to deter rust can't be a bad thing. I just won't go opt for that dirt-attracting bitumen type. If it were to be an offroad trekker, I'd probably rethink.
Got an old reliable 20yr old that has never been coated. The paint would welcome some love, but other than that, factory anti-corriosion measures have effectively kept rust away. The daily driver 3 has been w/ us for over 3years & the underbelly looks pretty good naked.

October 1st, 2017 04:29 AM #243You have a point. I also have an old 96 model that needs repainting. However I have consistently applied rubberized undercoat every 3-4 years. Still going strong. But we all know very well that newer vehicles never last as long as the older ones. Most of them designed to be disposed in 8-10 years hence the economics of parts longevity. Still contemplating though. Yeah bitumen tends to be a bit messy. I guess it would serve well as a first coat.

October 4th, 2017 01:15 AM #249I had my car (ceramic) coated recently sir. They removed the temp conduction plate in front na nka double-sided tape lng(na walang holder). When they mounted it medyo natatanggal na kaya I decided na huwag nlng muna imount until meron ng plate holder. I called Mazda sta. Rosa and they told me that they will install the plate holder.

October 4th, 2017 05:25 PM #250Meron ba nakaabang na bolt holes for the holder? I assume wala. Just check if sta rosa will use rivets in installing the holder.
