Congrats sir on the new car!

Anyway, any 2nd Gen CX5 owners here tried installing the EasyDrive RFID sticker from NLEX?

The NLEX guys refused to install one on my unit, not compatible daw with my Mediun Lumina tint on the windshield, and also on the headlight. "Singkit" daw kasi, with the hood and chrome garnish too close to the sticker.

Is that a metallic tint? I got a ceramic tint for my windshield.

Changing tint will do the trick.
Or if you wanna let them cut out a rectangular hole on the top center of your windshield.

My tint is yes, metallic type. Changing tint probably is my last resort.

According to them, cutting a slot for the sticker is not effective, someone tried it with his Vkool tint, and the RFID sticker still didn't work.

Mine was cut by their staff. I use vkool oem20 on the front. I just had the sticker aligned to the back of the rear view mirror so that I wouldnt notice the sticker. Tested and Works fine naman sa akin. And usually they test it before and after installation.

On a side note, meron na bang available class 1 stickers? Last time I checked, wala pa.

Thanks for the heads up. Has anyone from Mazda PH confirmed more competitive pricing even after TRAIN?

Just came from Mazda Pampanga. I had the wirings of my dashcam installed. I was afraid to open the A pillar plastic cover as I might accidentally trigger the airbag there. No waiting line for the CX-5. And they also have an upcoming soul red diesel.

Did you hardwire the dashcam? I used fuse taps to hardwire my dashcam.

It's USB powered so no hardwiring involved.

I heard the 2018 model is already released and has cylinder deactivation for the 2.5AWD gas. Can anybody confirm this?

Yup, Autohub is the exclusive distributor of VKool. In fact, Mazda Otis used to be the VKool showroom.

I got the VK series that's why I had to shell out the extra Php13,500. The freebies on the windows are just the OEM type.

Around 40K for VK for all the windows and windshield. Around 30K for the X series.

How much would you need to add on top of the CX-5's SRP if you wanted the VK series tint from an Autohub dealer (windshield included but not sunroof)?

Php13,500 for full front windshield for the VK series. If all (eg. windshield, 4 windows and rear windshield), it's around Php42,000.00. That's what the SA quoted me if I wanted everything. I got the 2.0L, no sunroof.

A friend of mine demo'd his VK enclosed Corolla to me by having it under the sun while we ate and drank. It really worked. But I'm not paying tens of thousands for it, tho.

The reason I asked is that the Autohub Group distributes V-Kool locally, so I was expecting a generous discount. ;)
