Unlike sequential twin turbo (2 turbos in series) setups on gasoline engines (e.g. the 4th gen Toyota Supra straight 6) which are designed to minimize turbo lag thru the use of a lower inertia, small primary turbo, the sequential turbo on the 2.2 Skyactive-D is designed to minimize the sharp and early power/torque fall-off (common to most turbo engines, diesels especially) through the use of a larger secondary turbo.

You will get better throttle response higher up the rev range bro Nelson.

Probably best up to 3,000 rpm for manual shifting. Peak power is at 2,000rpm.

If it still makes 250 NM at 5k rpm, then keep it in that gear until 5k rpm.

You only manually shift early if the engine comes completely off the boost at high rpm, as the Ford 3.2 does.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
