Got a tiny (2mm?) paint chip on my roof. Just wondering kung saan pwede ipa-repair? Bka kasi hindi makuha yung same color pag kung saan saan lang.

I'm only worried na bka pasukin ng rust kasi exposed yung metal. Pero kung hindi naman mag rrust eh hahayaan ko na lang

Anyone here can recommend a shop that can paint panels similar with the exact color of our Mazda 2 except on Casa? Not just thru the color code machine color matching process. Maybe thru manual mixing and matching of color? not sure though on that if it exists... Color of my 2 is Metropolitan Grey. Got it repainted due to dent I got in our parking area but somehow I’m not satisfied with the paint job. The color seems similar during day (well lit environment) but if you check it again in the dark closely and use the flash in phone as your light, you can see the difference. What I found is that the painted panel lacks the glittery something that the other original (unharmed) has. That repainted part still has those glittery (gives metallic look in paint) but not as much of that on the original panels. Btw, the affected panel here is the right rear passenger door. Not much of a problem though but na-uusi lang tlga ako.haha. I can share the pics later if makuhanan ko ng maayos sa dilim.lol.

The other problem I got after the fix on the dent and repaint is the overspray. Almost all parts of the car feels rough because of that. I requested those to be buff on that same shop. They probably have not covered the car properly. Worst thing is after I gotten the car and recheck those surfaces, it seems the glass (windshield, passenger..etc) on the window and the plastics parts also feels rough to touch. Would bringing my car to a detailing shop could fix this rough surfaces?

Return it to the dealer ... complain to the manager about the overspray and have them remove it ...

This is sometimes the problem with shops... I had the same experience with my CR-V. I think the better cheap alternative is to look for "shops that accept repairs from casa". I've heard of some stories that those insurance companies go to this kind of shops. I haven't confirmed it though.

    Insurance accredited repair shops ...

On a side note ... avoid having painting done at dealers ... they usually subcontract the paint job ... and they pay cheap ... so the painter has to cut corners somewhere ...
