The oil change was overdue by 10 months. I was planning to do the oil change this december but went ahead with the ₱3,700 pms promo for out-of-warranty skyactiv mazda.
The grease leak is coming from the front left wheel ball joint just right under the front suspension arm.
if it's not torn,
it must be loose.
how else will there be a leak?
i remember in your youth,
the ball joint rubber was torn.
to save money, as were still NSDB scholars back then (NaSa Daddy ang Bayad),
we wrapped it using strong plastic, para hindi mabasa.
"tumagal naman".
For those who upgraded their infotainment system with Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, so far no issues or quirks? I'm planning to have mine upgraded.
I am considering this Android head unit:
Aftermarket Android Head Unit / Ownice C9 K5 B /upgraded to K7 C97 / Mazda 6 2 16 | Mazda 6 Forums
You have the option to install CarPlay, TPMS, 360 camera, and others for an additional cost. What I like here is that the TPMS and camera is fully integrated.
I am not so sure about the commander knob if it's fully functional. It seems everything you can find in the stock head unit is there.
Recently my infotainment could not connect to CarPlay but could charge naman my iPhone. When I upgraded my iPhone recently, nag work na haha. So if you’ll encounter the same problem, upgrade you’re iPhone haha. Siguro need lang ng software update ng iPhone mo in case that happens with you.
at almost 35k kms, my rear pads are done.. good thing i checked.
changed my rear rotors to powerplus brand. PRD 33797 is the part number for the mazda 3 2014 up model.
currently, all wheels now have powerplus rotors.. for the front, its PRD 33803
what i like with powerplus rotors is that its fully coated, so no portion of the rotor forms rust. looks good too.. silver coating matches the magwheels
also, changed by brake pads to brakeforce brand.. they claim to have ceramic - carbon technology. good braking for me.. less noise yet still have a firm bite compared to bendix..
the original NBK pads i bought are noisy.. can't stand the squeal every time i apply the brakes..
Engine can't start and "start/stop button" glows orange instead of green when my keyfob is in the cabin. All lights, highbeam, dash, radio, aircon working. Immobilizer or anti-theft logo is blinking continuously (not 2 second intervals).
Upon removing the engine cover, I see plush engine insulation cotton was scattered and engine harness got gnawed. I drive this car 2-3 times a week.
I got it towed to casa and they gave a rough estimate on the fix; around 100-180k+ PHP. Ouch! I found out that they do not do rewiring. Casa won't because they would rather sell you a complete harness (probably as required by their dealer agreement with Mazda).
Anyone knows a reputable mazda electrician that can do it on my hobo mazda 2016. Thank you.
