I met an auto journalist (don't know his name found out when his pic appeared on TGPH) in Mazda Pasig when my 1.5 was released. They had just come from the Mazda 3 drive event up north. The group seemed to agree that though the 2.0 is more powerful, the 1.5 feels peppier and more immediate in its reaction to your right foot.
There was also this article about how the Miata was only supposed to have the 1.5 but the US market needed a 2.0 so they had to shoehorn a lightly-modified 2.0 into it. It was only in last year's model that the Miata's 2.0 caught up with the 1.5's livelier feel.
TL;DR: We have 2.0 (CVT AWD though) and it is faster and quieter getting to 120 and beyond. The 1.5 however makes the driver feel like a hero on its way there lol
I feel my 2.0L learned my quick foot tap on the gas for that quick forward movement. It feels like a small sedan like the Ford Fiesta, that quick acceleration when needed. Perhaps it's all in the footwork [emoji6]
Good day!
Anyone can endorse me to a seller or shop here, for an exhaust for my 2.0L thanks mga sir!
My Lamson backup camera is still alive after almost 5 years. There are very few instances where it flickers and dies but that happens only once or twice a year. It throws an overvoltage error code though.
Hi planning on buying a second hand 2014 mazda 3 1.5L. is it a good buy this 2019?
Ours is exactly that....'14/3/1.5HB. No plans of selling anytime soon. It has served well.
I'd say yes, if that's a well cared for hobo find. Most Skyactivs would have no reason not to be religiously dealership-serviced for the 1st 3years. The Yojin advantage goes beyond the 1st owners.[emoji106]
