hi all
bought a (used) 1st-gen Mazda6, late 2005 model (2006 model year), the head unit doesn't have MP3 capability unlike my 2007 Mazda3.
the sound system has 4 speakers (just like the Mazda3) and a 6-disk CD changer in front. There is no changer in the trunk.
I'm interested in this iPod adapter made by Grom Audio which emulates a CD changer, so you can control the iPod from the steering-wheel controls. The adapter connects to the CD changer port on the back of the HU.
I don't want to pull out the HU, but I found this white 4- or 5-wire plug under the rear deck (behind the rear seat backs). I am not sure if this is the CD changer cable. Can anyone confirm? if it is (and it's connected) I would be able to connect the Grom Audio to it and avoid any dismantle-ment.
