In terms of distance, long way ang EDSA. Shortest is thru Manila. pag di traffic sa EDSA, the best ito kasi walang traffic lights. Now di na ako dumadaan sa Manila. Normal route ko ay SLEX -> C5 -> EDSA -> NLEX

Pag summer vacation, on a week end, sa manila kami dati dumadaan. Takot kasi si Erpats sa EDSA.

dulo nang SLEX right to QUIRINO go up the ZAMORA bridge to Sta. Mesa.. then right sa mga motels then left sa town and country.. then right to san juan.. then left going to C3 passing SM Centerpoint, crossing Aurora, then A Bonifacio na..

Hello. Bibiyahe ako from NLEX to SLEX friday night. Tantya ko mga 8pm nasa EDSA Balintawak na ako. Ang balak ko kasi is to take Ortigas Ave going C-5 tapos SLEX na. Is there any other faster route from EDSA to C-5 on a friday night? Is EDSA-Magallanes-SLEX a bad idea?

    Thanks

Easiest route to C5 from EDSA would probably be through Murphy or Boni Serrano (which is a straight shot to Libis... traffic, though). Ortigas works, but traffic build-up is bad there... I'd get off Ortigas, go down Meralco and get on Julia Vargas (I hope I got that right... it's the road going down the center of Megamall). This puts you on C5 right before the build-up at Pasig.

Pasig is the worst part. There's always a huge build-up of traffic there at rush-hour... after that, it's free sailing to SLEX, but I don't know if it's any faster than EDSA.

The traffic on EDSA is bad, but at least you'll get a chance to use the Skyway after braving Magallanes. The major traffic build-up on SLEX southbound is under the Skyway at Bicutan, after the Skyway at Sucat (but that's minor) and at Alabang. The Skyway saves you maybe 15-20 minutes in rush-hour traffic (for an extra 75 bucks, though...)

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

You may take the risk, IMO. Medyo magaan ang flow ng EDSA nitong mga nakaraang araw, even yung umaga. C5 is worst these days due ti the elevated u turn project. kung mga 8 pm, balintawak ka na, i suggest you take a bonifacio, habang wala pa mga truck.

i suggest wag mo gamitin ang c-5 route. kahit na sabihin natin normal situation, mas matatagalan ka makarating sa slex niyan. may 3 ways ako paano makarating sa slex from nlex. una yung usual edsa route, 2nd ang c-5 route, 3rd ang sinabi ni sarsi, nagtahan route. for me, nagtahan route ang mabilis kasi derecho mo lang a. bonifacio, tapos dimasalang, lacson, nagtahan, kaliwa sa osmena, yun na, slex na! ang problema mo lang dito, pag ikaw natrapik sa a. bonifacio at sa may balintawak, ingat!

Thanks Niky. I would probably try Ortigas-Meralco-J. Vargas-C-5. But I'm considering EDSA as well because a lot of people are saying that EDSA southbound is not as bad as before.

Thanks Sarsi. It's something I would really love to try. Hindi ko pa kasi nasubukan ito.

Thanks testament11. Tama ka, nakakatakot ang traffic sa A. Bonifacio. I remember one time, gabi din and it's on a weekday papaunta ako ng Espana. Ay grabe ang traffic sa A. Bonifacio

From SLEX going to NLEX: Just go straight and when you reach Magallanes, you will see signs that say Manila and Cubao. Get to the Cubao lane to enter EDSA. Once you are in EDSA, just go straight. After you see SM North EDSA and Trinoma, just go straight and you will start to see signs that say NLEX.

From NLEX to SLEX: Once you are out of NLEX, there are exits that you will start to see. One is going to Monumento, the other one is going to Cubao (I am not sure what the sign says but you will see lots of cars exiting there) and if you go straight, it will lead you to Manila. Get the one that goes to Cubao. Just go straight. Be careful when you reach the road after Edsa Makati (tunnel) since it will be divided into 3 and a lot of cars get apprehended there due to MMDA's definition of "Swerving." If you stay in the innermost lane, it will lead you to Edsa Pasay - going to airport. The middle lane, it will lead you to Alabang and Manila. That is the route that you need to take. Once you are in the flyover, the road will be divided again. To your right is going to Manila, to your left is going to South. Take the left.

Kung early morning or light traffic, EDSA is the best way. Pero kung heavy traffic, derecho nalang Nagtahan-G.Forbes-Dimasalang then A.Bonifacio.
Ingat lang sa G.Forbes, kung matraffic dito pede ka right turn dun sa eskinita right after pagbaba ng Nagtahan-going to G.Tuazon(Balic-Balic), left turn Quintos St. tumbok mo nun crossing Maceda-Espana, tawid ka then derecho, Dimasalang na tumbok mo nun and right turn going to A.Bonifacio flyover. Kung traffic sa Maceda dahil palengke yun other side nun, you can take left turn at Blumintritt, cross Espana then hanap kanalang arterial road by right turning papunta sa Mayon. Derecho Mayon A.Bonifacio narin. For me mas malapit yun Manila route basta kabisado molang ang oras ng traffic. Just like sta.Mesa-Pandacan route mahirap din dyan minsan kung peak hours, hirap lang walang other way kung dito ka naipit traffic. Summer nanaman, dami long drive from North to South and vv

Hello. Hinda natuloy yung Friday night drive ko from NLEX to SLEX. Sa April 5 Sunday na lang. Mga 2pm nasa Balintawak na ako. Based on what most of you guys had suggested during lean hours, I'll take the EDSA-Magallanes-SLEX route. Ang balik ko naman sa NLEX sa Monday night na at since April 6 was declared a holiday, do you think I should take EDSA route again? I'd like to try SLEX-Manila-NLEX route, but I'll be exhausted by that time kaya baka maligaw lang ako
