Hello guys! Irwin Alcala, bukas na siya in time for the Holy week. Sa Ibaan Exit ng Star Tollway ang entry point nito and (according sa google maps), dadaan ito sa mga bayan ng Rosario at San Juan, Batangas; then iiwas na sya sa mga town proper ng Tiaong, Candelaria, and Sariaya, Quezon.

Irvin Alcala - Opo!!! Bukas na po ang Eco-Tourism road... | Facebook

The regular route is ibaan, Rosario, San Juan, candelaria, sariaya, lucena.... (Tiaong is via padre Garcia)...

Now, this is supposedly, ibaan, Rosario, San Juan, lucena....

Hmmm, got to try this one of these days...

^^ ako i used this route twice vise versa (four times) last year. Lilipad ka sa hump ng riles if you dont spot it.

iirc its about 2.5-3 hours from magallanes to lucena through this route. I maybe mistaken tho. What im sure is that its more relaxing since less traffic and less (almost none) buses . At night that is. Im not sure in day time. I imagine madami trikes and kuliglig sa umaga because it is after all country roads.

    Safe travels!

Kung nighttime babyahe edi mas mabilis pa rin ang Maharlika because wala na rin namang trike dun and it's shorter?

^^^^^ on ordinary days maybe. But we only go to bicol on holiday rush like holy week, undas and christmas when maharlika is busy almost 24hours while the ibaan-rosario-eco road is virtually empty at night.

Tomas, and Calamba (up to Turbina)

By thursday, I need to figure it out yung shortcut once I exit at Ibaan from Star Tollway (hindi ko na matandaan yung shortcut na yun para mag-bypass ako sa Ibaan town proper at derecho na ako sa highway to traverse Rosario and San Juan towns and then this eco-tourism road.

    ---------------

sharing my experience during my holy week drive via SLEX-STAR-Ibaan-Rosario-San Juan (Batangas)-Quezon Eco Tourism Road

    1. left Manila at past 5am last Thursday and arrived at my hometown somewhere in Quezon at 11:30am. traffic sa Rosario and San Juan (dito yung pinakamabigat ang traffic), usually sa town proper lang yung culprit ng traffic jam. other than that is mabilis ang biyahe ko kahit sa QETR.

    2. left somewhere in Quezon at 5pm last Sunday and went to the same route.
