Hi Guys,
Still haven't gone to Baguio, though by this time next week I should be there in the cold. Hehehe!
Anyways, a new development popped up. I now have to fly out on a business trip right after the Baguio trip on Sunday. My flight is 725 pm. So I was thinking of leaving Baguio after breakfast, by 10 am at the latest so that I'll be in Ortigas by about 4 pm. How many hours is the return trip from Baguio? Do you think this is doable? Should we leave much earlier? Since flight is 725pm, I should be at NAIA 2 by 525 at the latest. Bad trip, would have been nice to take my time on the Sunday morning driving down.

Better to leave between 8-9am so you're not pressured to rush and have time to adjust to any delays.

If you have someone who can drive your family and the van down, book a ticket with the Victory Liner Deluxe Bus (has a restroom, no stops, nicer seats w/ more legroom versus the regular a/c bus, in-bus service, etc.) then take that going back to Manila instead of bringing a second car:

Medyo mabagal ang provincial traffic pag pabalik ng Manila. With normal and safe driving, I will drive Agoo(almost Baguio) to MOA(via Manila) in 6 hours starting at 9am or 10am. But going north, I can drive it in 4 hours if I will start before 6am. I travel during February, April, July, October, and December. I normally have a 20 minute stop at NLEX Caltex or Shell.

If you leave at 6AM Sunday,- then you'll be in MM by 12noon bro.... Still enough time for your flight.
Typically, 6 hours pag medyo natraffic,- huwag lang sobrang traffic....
And we all thought that you have already made your trip....
Baka magkasabay pa tayo niyan....

The trip is in 3 days, and I'm excited! More about the drive rather than the destination, actually. Hahaha!
Some nights I'd gotten up thinking:
- To Magilas or not to Magilas?
- How much of a b1tch will MacArthur be on a Friday?
- I miss my 18s. Hahaha!
- The GS can make it up to and around Baguio in a single full tank. How far will the Cruze (bro-in-law's car) go before we have to pit?
And lately:
- Gotta leave at 8am on Sunday so I can make the flight... Abot sana. abot sana.
Hahaha!

^If you leave at 8am on Sunday, you should make it to Manila by around after lunch kung easy driving. If you leave at 5am and go banzai you'll be in Balintawak by 8am
Magilas or no Magilas? Where do you plan to eat along the way? That should help dictate your route as well. Just be sure to avoid Tarlac City proper (which you can by taking SCTEX La Paz exit. I have no update lang on the construction of Mc Arthur in the Tarlac area. If you plan to eat at Matutinas then you can take Magilas all the way to Rosales then take Mc Arthur up to Urdaneta.
It's looking a lot like a certain cruiser with that color scheme.
