nope, we normally prefer replacing them because overhauling is a tricky business with lots of backjobs.

hi typhoon,

did you fix your engine problem na? what was the cause? how much did it cost? in my case, even if my AC is off my engine still dies, even if my idling is high...

just solved my problem today.

i went to mang mario this morning. convinced na kase ako na ac related talaga since nangyayari lang un with ac on. sa unang tingin nya, palyado daw ung condenser fan. chineck nila ung copper wirings sa motor ng condenser fan and mukang palyado na daw (this might have caused my temp to reach 3/4 sa traffic before with ac on, but this is another issue) so i had the motor replaced for 2.5K. nung kinabit ung bago, ganun pa din. so inobserve nung tauhan nya (si ryan ata un) what is causing the idle drop. napansin nya na delayed ung pag disengage ng compressor. dapat daw kase sabay un with the fan ata. there was a problem with the wiring. kaya ayun trinace nila ung cause. took them about an hour to trace the problem since ang gulo daw ng wiring ko. the culprit? a grounded wire. nung naayos na, my rpm did not dip nung nag-off ung compressor. well, just a bit, maybe less than 100 rpm drop which is acceptable since nabawasan ng load ung engine.

the best thing about it, lumalabas na walang charge sa labor! total bill ko is 2.8K. 2.5K for the condenser fan motor and 300 for the wirings used. inabutan ko na lang ng 100 ung tauhan nya hehe.

all along, ac related na pala talaga ung problem ko. i've had several parts replaced already thinking that they might be causing the problem, although wala naman ako regrets since mukang palyado na talaga sila. if you encounter the same problem with ac on, i suggest you go to mang mario na talaga. just be there early. add me to the long list of mang mario's satisfied customers

thanks migs. hopefully wala na lumabas na bagong sakit so i can save up on my clutch replacement. intay ko na lang exact location ng new shop nyo

bosing speedyfix, paano kung isama natin replacement ng mga o-rings? kasi merong mga oil na nakakapasok sa sparks ko, feeling ko for replacement na sila eh
