    Out of topic lang....

Yes you can make it in 4 hours- Manila to Baguio- if you travel non stop and within speed limit of 100kph on the expressways and no lines at the toll booths of nelx, sctex, and tplex.

Just today, i left BGC at 930am, and reached Baguio at 330 with an hour and 10 minutes stop at Matutina for lunch, 15 minutes at Petron Lakeshore and 5 mins stop at Rosario for fuel refill and taking Marcos hiway going up.

So basically, it's give or take a few minutes and you can make it in 4 hours, but who doesn't want a good meals and some yosi break along the way. Unless, you are determined to prove something or otherwise.

Roxas/osmena/quirino, congested din jan with ongoing skyway construction, idagdag mo pa yung mga stubborn trailer trucks.
On midnight trip- yan-mayon/bonifacio, that's the fastest way out of metro.

Matraffic sa osmena lalo na pag labasan ng truck. Sa roxas blvd - delpan, nakakatakot environment kapag gabi parang pwede magkarambol anytime o kaya may rumaragasang truck na walang preno. The best parin mag waze na lang.

I used waze the first time we went to Manaoag e kung saan saan kami pinadaan from EDSA pa lang I prefer EDSA or C5. Mas malapit ako sa SLEX side. Yung Roxas and Osmena iniiwasan ko yan. I never pass Nichols anymore coming from the South. Skyway na ko parati. Too much traffic in Magallanes.

Keep Waze on, but don't turn off common sense. Waze doesn't know how narrow the Manila side streets are, and often makes silly suggestions if there aren't enough updates from other users in the vicinity. Always take Waze's advice with a grain of salt.

But as a general guide and not as a bible, Waze is second to none.

That's why I did not follow waze anymore. I don't have common sense when it comes to the North. Even with my regular routes I only use waze to check which route has the least amount of traffic. I don't use waze to go places I am not familiar with. I'm traditional and I ask a person.

special thanks to clavel and yebo for my 2014 route to Manaoag This year I will take the route you and everyone else suggested (Urdaneta exit)

Waze user here but very satisfied... pag wala ito hindi ko alam kung saan ako lulusot sa NCR.
Ms Cath, at TPLEX Urdaneta exit just remember to turn left. Your next turn shall be (turn right) at Norkis/Seaoil gas station (pagka lampas mo ng Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital). This is the best/shortest route to Manaoag if you are coming from the south. Disregard those signages posted at TPLEX going to manaoag

Schedule too tight to include Hundred Islands. Not to mention the hassle of washing up after swimming at sea.

Too tiring for a day trip.

Totally agree. A day trip to the hundred islands is a whole day schedule already, even without swimming.

Thanks sa mga reply! Went to Pangasinan as planned, ayun pagod. Ahah

So last Sunday, we went to Manaoag and then went to Sky Plaza in Natividad, Pangasinan. In my 3 years of driving, the climb to the Sky Plaza is by far my steepest one. Natakot wife ko sitting in the 3rd row of our Mobilio. Baka raw bumaliktad kami. The steepest part there is just a couple of meters pero ang tarik nga. After that, we went to Maranum falls because it is just behind the mountain where you climb the Sky Plaza. Lamig ng tubig!

Pa-confirm lang mga sir.. Binalonan na pinakamalapit na exit if going to Manaoag church right? Urdaneta pa din kase nababanggit sa thread eh.

    Yes bro.

Urdaneta remains to be an option, though...
