4 hours from manila to baguio? Hmmm..
    Impressive.
No wonder EDSA is always clogged up cause that seem the only route everyone knows going north. One will be lucky to get out of EDSA from Magallanes to Balintawak in 1 hour at anytime of the day, parang sinapian na ng langit yan.

    The shortest route Osmena>Quirino>Espana>Mayon>Bonifacio.

If your near to Roxas blvd, pwede rin Roxas Blvd> Delpan> C3 > Bonifacio

Roxas/osmena/quirino, congested din jan with ongoing skyway construction, idagdag mo pa yung mga stubborn trailer trucks.
On midnight trip- yan-mayon/bonifacio, that's the fastest way out of metro.

Matraffic sa osmena lalo na pag labasan ng truck. Sa roxas blvd - delpan, nakakatakot environment kapag gabi parang pwede magkarambol anytime o kaya may rumaragasang truck na walang preno. The best parin mag waze na lang.

I used waze the first time we went to Manaoag e kung saan saan kami pinadaan from EDSA pa lang I prefer EDSA or C5. Mas malapit ako sa SLEX side. Yung Roxas and Osmena iniiwasan ko yan. I never pass Nichols anymore coming from the South. Skyway na ko parati. Too much traffic in Magallanes.

Keep Waze on, but don't turn off common sense. Waze doesn't know how narrow the Manila side streets are, and often makes silly suggestions if there aren't enough updates from other users in the vicinity. Always take Waze's advice with a grain of salt.

But as a general guide and not as a bible, Waze is second to none.

That's why I did not follow waze anymore. I don't have common sense when it comes to the North. Even with my regular routes I only use waze to check which route has the least amount of traffic. I don't use waze to go places I am not familiar with. I'm traditional and I ask a person.

special thanks to clavel and yebo for my 2014 route to Manaoag This year I will take the route you and everyone else suggested (Urdaneta exit)

Waze user here but very satisfied... pag wala ito hindi ko alam kung saan ako lulusot sa NCR.
Ms Cath, at TPLEX Urdaneta exit just remember to turn left. Your next turn shall be (turn right) at Norkis/Seaoil gas station (pagka lampas mo ng Urdaneta Sacred Heart Hospital). This is the best/shortest route to Manaoag if you are coming from the south. Disregard those signages posted at TPLEX going to manaoag

Yes sir, i took that route, urdaneta/manaoag/san vicente road, but something's going on that time. Sort of parade or whatever it is. But it was a wrong move turning back. Mas matindi pala traffic dun sa dinaanan ko.

    Pa up lang. hehe

Planning to go to Pangasinan, Sunflower Maze first tapos deretso Manaoag church, tapos Hundred Islands. On the way ba meron pa bang tourist spots na madadaanan? Pati na rin kainan syempre. hehe

Also, mga 5am ang alis ko coming from Cavite, so via Cavitex-Edsa-Nlex-Sctex-Tplex going to destinations. Achievable ba na mapuntahan ko mga yan or magagahol ako sa oras?

    Salamat!

All in one day? I dont think kaya..
To enjoy hundred islands, you need at least a day. And usually 3 or 4 lang na islands ang mapupuntahan.

sunflower maze ba sa Tayug yan? kung galing ka Cavite ng 5am, depende sa speed mo mga 8-9am nasa Tayug ka. then from Tayug to Manaoag via Asingan-Binalonan-Laoac-Manaoag nasa 1-1.5hrs. mga mid-day na yan. may mga kainan nearby Manaoag church.

from Manaoag, dadaan ka Dagupan via San Jacinto-Mangaldan, give and take mga 2hrs din. marami kainan sa Dagupan na madaanan.

from Dagupan to Alaminos (100 Islands) another 2.5hrs or more at mabagal takbo sa bandang Binmaley area. so mga hapon ka na makarating niyan.you need at least half a day kung magbanka lang to hop around the islands. but kung gusto mo maglangoy-langoy pa and enjoy visiting the islands, 1 araw yan. ihatid kayo ng banka sa umaga then hapon sunduin kayo.

better still, sunflower maze kayo and Manaoag then overnight sa 100 Islands. at least ma-enjoy niyo ang sunset at sunrise.

welcome to Pangasinan bro. enjoy the trip and drive safe!

skip mo na sunflower maze if you want to save time[emoji2960]. go straiight to Manaoag via TPLEx exit in Urdaneta. mga 9am nandun na siguro kayo niyan. say mga 10am alis kayo ng Manaoag, sa Dagupan na kayo mag-lunch (silverio's matutina's, gorio's) madaanan niyo along De Venecia hi-way kung ituro ng waze. kung mga 2pm nasa Alaminos kayo ok pa yan sa Island hopping. you have to register pa and rent a boat, it takes a bit of time din. safe trip!

Schedule too tight to include Hundred Islands. Not to mention the hassle of washing up after swimming at sea.

Too tiring for a day trip.
