Guys i need your i help, im looking for a shorter way from Antipolo to Los Baņos. Antipolo is my starting point, im near brgy. dalig, antipolo.

    I have 2 options:

    1. SLEX - calamba route
    2. East Route - (i think papuntang caliraya/lumban, im just not familiar with the barrios, im hoping you guys could give me some directions)

is it really shorter going east route?sa tingin ko kase mas lalayo pa ako kung bababa pa ako ng ortigas, edsa, makati, slex.

im also considering the safety sa east route. like NPA's, road conditions, etc...

    TIA...

if you want worry free travel better take the slex but you will experience traffic in C5 kalayaan and alabang. The road going to quezon im not sure kung na-improve na, masikip ang kalsada, may part na rough road at delikado at night. Hindi ka pa sure kung may assistance na makukuha kapag may problem ka sa car unlike in slex madaming options kapag nasiraan. im from east too pero ni minsan hindi ako nagbalak dumaan dyan, anyway from antipolo to calamba will take 2 1/2hrs lang naman. just my opinion

Malapit din kami sa Bgy. Dalig (actually sa Bgy. San Roque). Sa experience ko, on the two instances na nagpunta kami ng Bicol, we took the southern route (Ortigas ext.-Taytay-Floodway-Pasig-C5-SLEX).

Like what Esnie.com cited, mas secure ang travel sa SLEX since you can always be assured of roadside assistance, never mind if it's a relatively roundabout route.

tol mag rizal route ka mas malapit, yung tagos ng antipolo tapos me zigzag, ayus naman yung road condition since yun lagi daan namin to pangil laguna monthly, wala naman kami nakikitang prob since di sya ganun ka secluded, actually mag iingat ka sa mga nagtatakbuhang bata... after mo ng pagbaba ng laguna deretcho na to los banos yun

sorry just checked google earth, mas malayo pala yung route ng rizal... yun nga lang consider mo na lang kung saan di mas matrapik since dadaan ka ng c5 at whole stretch ng SLEX which is under construction... HTH

The route going through the towns of Baras, Teresa, Pililla, Famy, Lumban, Pagsanjan, Pila, Victoria, Calauang, Los Banos (I missed some towns) is scenic and with less traffic. I suggest you take that vs. risking frustration and traffic in C5 (Kalayaan intersection) and SLEX (from Alabang onwards)... dangerous to your health and property...

Just came from those 2 places you mentioned last sunday.. my hometown is pililla but i leave in mandaluyong...

rizal antipolo is your best route due to lesser traffic problems, road is safe naman ma zigzag lang but shorter..

slex ok din mas staighter ang drive pero longer distance means more traveling time, also matraf ang ortigas ave tapat ng ever madalas at yung junction cainta... thats just me pero kung nasa manda ako slex na route ko

The route that I mentioned above goes through the towns of Teresa and Tanay, I believe.... Take this road,- it's safer and less of a heartache.

anyone here can show me maps or directions what road to take? looking for an alternative and less expensive route from marikina to pila laguna...

dire diretso lang naman yun.. go via sumulong.. then antipolo.. then follow the signs going to Tanay.. then diretso lang yun.. then Siniloan na, then Pakil, Paete, Kalayaan, Pagsanjan, Sta. Cruz then Pila na.

I think Los Banos is more closer if you take the SLEX route than the Rizal Laguna route. If you are going to the towns of Pangil, Pakil, Siniloan, Sta. Cruz then it would be more ideal to take the Rizal Laguna route, other than that I would take the Slex. Just my thought.

At that junction, do not turn left going to Antipolo Church,- go straight and follow that road.....

kung nasa East area ka na, marikina, cogeo, antipolo.. it's best to take the rizal route.. pero kung nasa manila ka.. ok pa din ang SLEX.. kaya lang sobra trapik ngayon don..

eto nalang to give you idea,

without traffic, from pila to marikina, brought a sentra '88..

    national highway -SLEX-c5 route

    took me 2 full hours

now, if i would take the rizal route, hmm i wonder if it'll take it about 2 hrs also

because with all the SLEX traffic, i cannot imagine making it within 3 hours pa

    driving an innova now
