Just had my new mags and tires installed on my Toyota Liteace Van last saturday.....

Bridgestone GR-50 S&S Turanza......195/65R15.....on an LA Wheel 6 Spoke mags.......problem is......they had to put spacers.....1/2" thick just to avoid my suspension system.....tatagal kaya yung spacers na yun? what problems would I expect in the future?

    help needed....thanks in advance...:D

spacers between the mags & the wheel-hub? You might expect bent wheel bolts or worst, sheered wheel bolts. You should avoid heavy loading or big sudden bumps to the wheels.

actually ive been running 1/2" spacers on my old school '82 corona running 205/45r16. 8 years na havn't broken anything.
I'm running a 2.2liter 18r-g dohc engine on twin webber carbs. full race setup producing 220hp at the wheels.
If i havn't broken anything, your liteace should be fine. I just made sure the bolts were top quality.

Dont'know. iba iba yan depende sa tire size and vehicle weight. do this.

draw a chalk line across the tire. drive for a bit. dapat pantay ang fade nung chalk line. kung sa gitna lang fade, masyado matigas. kung sides ang faded masyado malambot. kung isang side lang ang fade, pa align ka na rin ng gulong

This is a very good suggestion to measure the appropriate tire inflation relative to vehicle weight. Thanks!!!!

Use longer studs if you want.

Yung sa Datsun 180B namin dati lumipad yung rear tire na may spacer. Amazingly, the car still drove on. Nalaman lang na naalis yung gulong kasi may taong humabol dun sa sasakyan.

Since your ride is a van and you're using 15's a with slightly lower sidewalls then stock on a passenger car biased tire, I guess you should air it up a bit more at around 31-32psi (cold). Even 34-35 if you will be carrying a heavy load. As long as you dont go over the max tire pressure rating, it'll be OK.

Wag ka masyado mabilis magpatakbo kasi magwiwiggle ang steering wheel mo and you could lose control of your van. Yun ang problema kapag may spacer ang harap ng gulong, sa rear naman I don't see any problem.

    hi tsikot people,

Yestrday, i was running at about 40-50 kph and hit a deep pothole really hard, just immediately after that, i felt a slight wiggle on my steering wheel. i pulled over and examined the wheel (tire/rim), i saw that there was damage on the inner lip of the rim. btw, my rim is an alloy.

Is there something that can be done to, sort of, repair the damage?

    Thanks in advance.

    n3il53n,

my liteace is 9 yrs old, since new, naka 15x6.5 wheels siya with 195/60/15 falkens,, may 1/4 inch spacer din siya, no problems so far, except the normal wear and tear parts like tie rods, shocks, rack end, and ball joints. my personal recommendation sa tire pressure is 30psi fr, 32psi rr. casa recommends 28f, 32rr. btw, a few mins. ago, i had my wheels aligned at toyota quezon ave. (my workplace hehehe), for Php770 all-in. you want to do this asap.

I have a question regarding recommended tire pressure. I have a set of Falken Ziex (215/45/R17) tires. The previous owner recommended a tire pressure of 35psi for all tires. I'm just concerned, won't this present too much stress on the suspension? What's the best recommend tire pressure for my tires for daily driving. Thanks!

Di ba delikado na masira yung mags with only 30psi? How long do 17" tires usually last? Pansin ko lang sa falkens ko after 1 yr sobrang upod na.
