I am thinking of changing wheels. It's definitely 15 inch with 195/55/15 tires.

    Rota Real Lite

    (matte steel grey)

    Rota RB

    (royal lip silver)

Which one would look better with the project car?

I really like the style of the RB, but it doesn't suit your car.

Are the Real Lites really lite... errh... light? I'm changing tires soon, and those look kinda nice.

Hey, is the work on your car finished? Is it ready for "gauging" yet?

real lite looks good for me, but the RB will definitely add some JDM appeal to your car.

I kinda feel that way after looking longer at the rb wheels.

They are light. I could lift one with my arm extended. The spokes are hollowed out behind them. Actually, even the RB's spokes are hollowed out for some lightness too.

hehehe... can't wait for some competition? I am pretty much happy with the current suspension. H&R springs worked well. The brakes needs upgrading since I am using Bendix Standard pads. (FYI, the brake calipers & rotors came from a Nissan Bluebird.) I am getting a set of Bendix MetalKings this weekend from a shop I know.

The tires are basically shot. No serious track driving until they are replaced. But that doesn't exclude drag though.

Damnit! Big brakes and springs already? I've got to find some good brakes... I'm still trying to find a source for 626 V6 or Mazda6 brakes for mine... my stock rotors are definitely shot, and I don't think refacing will do it anymore (OT, sorry).

Hehe... I'll be in QC this weekend... Might pass by Sidney's place on Monday to bug the hell out of him. :hihihi:

Go for the Real Lites, then... besides, polished lips don't hold up well to our acidic environment... I don't know if you noticed, but mine are peeling.

Advan Neova AD07s... they don't last very long (mine need replacing at 20,000 kms), but they're grippy and have terrifically strong sidewalls... good defense against potholes.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

when you said JDM appeal, I suddenly got a vision of a "panda" color schemed Nissan Sentra with a tofu store name printed on the door.

actually the sentra already had the bluebird brakes on it when I bought the car. And among the first things done to the car was upgrade the suspension. The first springs I used was B+G but was too soft. I was able to find someone selling his H&R springs and those worked well when combined with the Koni adjustable shocks.

I know, I also used the same tires for my turbocharged Corolla. Lasted only a year but the grip was very good.

So it's mags and tires and you're set. Hahaha... Text nalang kita when I've got my IHE upgrades fully sorted... I've always wondered how close the FS could get to the SR... it probably won't be close, but it'd be fun to try.

Real Lites, FTW. ...but I'm also partial to this:

    ROTA Attack

    or this:

ROTA Boost (pero medyo common yata)

These two wheels are basically the same wheel design except for being 5 or 6 spokes. The problem is the wheels on my Corolla pretty much looks like the Boost wheel so I am looking for something a little different from it.

So do mags... hahaha... mine are dented pretty badly now.

Congrats on the rims! How much all-in-all, and what tires did you get?

If I say ADVANS, you would probably cry out "hell no!" if/when we set out to gauge your car against mine.

Maybe it's time for that 10lbs bottled special from sids and ferms. hehehe
