December 4th, 2018 01:20 AM #1Are there any local shops who do wheel banding a.k.a. “wheel widening”? How safe is this practice?
I would like to have my stock steelies widened from 5j to 7j to give it a deeper dish look. Please share your experiences for those who already tried it. Thanks!

For SUV use? Check out ROH steelies from Oz. Below is an o l x . p h ad. They're not pricey....better than what you're planning, sir.

Ah...wrong PCD for that. If you proceed, seek assurance on maintaining the wheel's balance, run-out & structural integrity. It's a common procedure I remain uncomfortable w/.
There are a few other ways to widen your wheel options w/o giving mod reversibility up. You can do PCD conversion via adapters.

unsafe imo. germans had to use the thinnest steel rims back in the day.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
