After reading from Autopia (I think) about 6 months ago on somebody using Armor All Tire Foams on the wheel wells, I tried it myself since the product is available in many hardware stores. Results were very good. Clean and black (not brown when I paid no attention to the wheel wells before).I also like the ease of using it since it's a spray on and leave it type of application.

Now that I'm cleaning 2 cars (including my dad's newer lancer), the P240 tag price is getting a big steep especially when 1 can lasts only a month. I'm hoping for a cheaper alternative. Any suggestion?

    Thanks!

masarap magkalikot ng wheel well using your hands. daming natatanggal na dumi.

pero naalala ko yung time na may ebs pala sa wheel well... yuck!!!

    Thanks on the input guys!

I failed to mention that I actually use Armor All as a dressing and not as a cleaner. I normally hose and use detergent bar (Mr Clean, Tide) first in cleaning the wells before I use Armor All. That's coz if I don't Armor All, namumuti naman sya. Nde na brownish ang wells ko, puti na. Siguro dahil sa pampaputi ng damit ginagamit ko I'm thinking car shampoo may not be strong enough to clean the wells. I could be wrong.

armor all, ung common bottle, is really not a cleaner. it's a protectant. i think if you read the instructions, they tell you to clean using soap and water, before applying the armor all. may special cleaners pa ang armor all, and this is not widely available yata.

Oks na yung car shampoo. Detergents might be too harse lalo na pag Mr. Clean.

Slip-slick: I'm referring to Armor-All Tire Foam not on the protectant. I understand that if somebody says Armor all, more likely, the protectant is what comes to mind. My bad for not typing the complete product name on my 2nd post thus the confusion.

ILuvDetailing/mazdamazda: I may not be rinsing the detergent well enough kaya namumuti. I'll try and buy a cheaper car shampoo for the wells. NXT car wash lang meron ako currently. Much too expensive I think for the wells.

pa-car wash kayo dun sa congressional avenue yung between petron and abe gas stations (sorry forgot the name of the shop, 2x pa lang kasi ako nagpa-wash dun at medyo mahal din). tinatanggal ang wheels and side skirts pag nag-complete wash. yun nga lang abutin ka minsan more than 2 hours at matagal sila mag-wash. pati wheels scrub nila ang loob. pero di ko lang gusto ang gamit nilang car shampoo, matapang masyado tanggal pati wax kaya mapilitan ka magpa-wax na din after.

mlance02: Ngek, mahal nga ng NXT parang may halong ginto. Bumibili ako kay Bigberts ng Car Shampoo by the gallon laki ng matitipid mo, 400 bucks for a gallon. Magkano ba yung NXT car shampoo?

I bought my 64oz of NXT sa Simex nung napagawi ako nung July dun. It costs around P640 then. Don't know now. Bad trip nga eh kasi sa US $6 lang sya so around P330 lang if P55 to $1. I should go to Big Berts one weekend. Layo ko kasi eh (Binan, Laguna). Should I bring my own container for the 1 gallon shampoo?

    640 petot for 64oz???

When I bought it from Bigberts, I didn't bring any containers, but if you want to be sure bring one.

Scrub with a green scrubbing pad and brush, if really stubbord use APC, dress with cheapo dressing, aerosol is preferred so cyclo and other cheap brands are your best bet. Apply thin, spread with foam.

Unless you're going to show it off, it's a waste of dressing since after 1-2 blocks around our [sarcasm]CLEAN AND DUSTLESS[/sarcasm] roads, they'll be back to square one.
