My toyota vios 2nd gen 175/65 R14 (33PSI front / 30PSI rear) is due for replacement... i will replace it with the same as i don't want to experiment as what the car was designed to... (but if you can convince me then im open to new ideas)
question is, what do i do with the old worn out tires??? i don't want to stock them at home and be a breading ground for mosquitoes...

AFAIK some tire shops accept trade in of tires kung sa kanila bibilhin yung bago mong tires. usually nasa 100 to 500 pesos max per tire...minsan pag mabait naman yung nagkakabit ng tires sa shop, sa kanya ko binibigay luma parang tip nya na...you can also sell those sa mga vulcanizing shop sa street side...usually binibili pa ng mga taxi drivers yan for a couple of weeks or even months use lalu na kung medyo okay pa naman...

Check mo condition ng tires mo. Kung ok pa naman at may kamag-anak o friend kang pwedeng pagbigyan ng gulong, bigay mo nalang sa kanila. Pero kung wala, trade in mo nalang. Pero kung sobrang worn out na, iwan mo nalang sa tindahan talaga yan

+1. Di lang dahil sa looks. Mas stable ang ride ng Vios namin on 195/55/15 not to mention more grip.
Sold our old set of stock E mags for 8.5K. Nasa 50% tread pa pero mag 5 yrs na kasi and marami rami din scratches yung mags. If you're not planning to upgrade your mags, go for 185/60/14.
