This all started when may nakita akong black Sonata with aftermarket rims cruising by Banawe. I was like.. "shet, ang pangit..."
Anyway, looking for rims with: 18-20"x8.5, 5x114, +45 to +48 offset is ideal. As for the wheels, got no idea but I'm looking for a mid-tier tire primary for city and highway driving. If possible, post the rough price of the rim set and suggestions on where to buy them. I'm not on a budget really but being affordable is a plus... para more trips papuntang Pegasus.. I mean more funds para sa home audio :naughty2:
Initially, I want to get the GC's 19-inch OEM wheels. But it's proving annoying to get 2 sets of its front tires (18x8.5 versus the rear's 18x9.5?).
Aim is to:
1. Lessen the front fender gap. It's a bit large for my taste.. so I'm generally looking for 19-20 inchers.
2. Increase the ground clearance. Every cm counts since kahit magisa ako, sumasayad ako sa sidewalk ng Banawe unless I turn it sideways. Why so heavy? Sound setup + sound deadening = few hundred lbs additional weight.
I won't be dropping.
For ideas, check the images below:
Sabi sa inyo pogi yun 19" OEM GC wheels!
This is actually my favorite rims (I like matte black on white) aside from the SEMA-modded Sonata rims
This is what I want my Sonata to be in 2014... pero dream on nalang muna dyan.. rims is BBS I think.

Chrome multi-spokes actually look nice..
I think these are 20s.. no worries, wala ako plano kumuha ng fake Brembo calipers..
Volks TE37.. I'd rate it 8/10
Bagay actually AMG rims..
Hmmm..
I'm looking for looks.. not performance so I'm pretty okay with Thailand-copies. Lightweight is a plus since each wheel of the Sonata (18"+Kumho Solus KH16) weighs around 52lbs.
For those asking for my OEM mags *cough* Ken *cough*, I'll be using them every PMS

February 15th, 2012 03:27 PM #3For me since hindi ka naman racing parang ako. hehe.. Go for mesh rims. Hindi ko kasi trip yung racing look pero di naman racing. Pero kanya-kanyang taste yan.
Pag may budget eto mga bibilhin ko.

Actually, BBS rims are on my top list now. Trying to get the LM or the LM-R. Pero wala tayo authorized distributor of authentic BBS rims sa Philippines right?

February 16th, 2012 10:09 AM #6Sadly wala..

That's the problem. Everytime I see a seller selling BBS rims less than 40k, I automatically presume it's a copy.
If I'm going to buy a copy at those prices, might as well buy and patronize our very own ROTA wheels \
