Just a question, does anyone know what type does rota use in making their wheels? is it gravity casting, low pressure casting?

TE37 is an original design by Rays Wheels Japan. A lot of JDM-styled rides used the wheel thus it became popular. Other wheel manufacturers just copied it.

Rota’s version is called the Grid. It’s a lot cheaper than an original set of Rays TE37.

Naalala ko kuwento ng friend ko. Yung barkada nya na magkapatid na mahilig sa kotse, bumili ng mags. Yung kuya bumili ng orig ProC lightweight mags for 80k tapos yung younger inasar kuya nya at bumili ng Rota lookalike for 20k. When they checked the two products, 1/4 kg lang difference in weight per rim. Hehehehe

VolkRacing TouringEvolution37? Forged. Light & Tough. Dissipates heat well. Still popular & in production. Comes in many submodels now. Lotsa copies, too.

    bronze attract light dirt.
    silver attracts dark dirt.
daily punas talaga ang tanging lunas.
steelies na lang. nobody pays much attention to naked steelies.

Haha...tried bronze, black, silver, gunmetal...bronze needs the least cleaning.[emoji16]
But you're right, doc....steelies don't need care. Let the dogs piss, let em rust...no1 will care.[emoji16]

    pag kinalawang ang rim... palitan!
puede ring DIY repair. steel brush + spray paint.

mura lang ang steelies surplus. some of them even look brand new... some even include the tires.
galing sa newly-purchased base models na kinombert to mags.

when my innova's spare tire (mag!) got stolen, i replaced it with a pre-owned steel-rimmed tire that i acquired cheap.
after 13 years, hindi pa ulit ninanakaw.
i did not know, back then, that spare tire theft was covered by my compre insurance.
    OT.

Good na ako sa stock rims. The only car I changed the rims was the old 6th gen Accord I had before. Its stock 15s are just a bit small for a big car like it. The car looked better with 17” rims.
