I had to replace one (hit something at over 100kph, don't ask :p ) and the box it came in was ROTA.

IIRC our AE101 XE and AE111 GLi both had Rotas. Both had their share of highway driving and its common dangers like expansion joints, potholes, rocks, and the occasional local fauna. No problems so far.

had 17" rotas (civic EK). walang problema. one time na pot hole ng matindi sa may sucat ave. akala ko may sumabog na bomba. pero okay pa din ang mags. no air leaks.

....and besides, kung mabengkong man ang rims mo, di ka masyado maiiyak dahil mura lang naman ang rota. my 17" ROTA MSVs are still in perfect condition (konting gasgas lang), 4 years na saken tapos daily driven pa.

205/40-16 Spec-2, nagkamali ako ng pili ng tire series dapat 45 para mas comfortable ang ride.

Yup. Riding on 40 series (on cars) is an invitation to bengkong if you drive over a lot of bumps, rocks and potholes. Even 50-55 requires some care, or at least high pressure (above 30) to cushion the mags from the road.

this is a good thread, lalo na kabibili ko lang ng 17 in rota destinys last january. never really new much about rota, like local pala ito at ginagamit rin pala as stock rims ng mga car manufacturers natin, all i new was good quality siya.

subok na nga daw talaga ang rota, designed for philippine road condition. hay malas natin dito panget kalsada kaya pati shocks natin and under chasis parts mabilis rin bumigay.

Try to keep your new tires as close to oem specs as possible when you go plus sizing. Hope this helps

All the cars which went through me had rota wheels, except the ones i have now which are lenso. Matibay talaga rota pero Naka bingkong na ako before.

imo very good ang quality ng rota being o.e for different car manufacturers. and im not sure but i think they have iso,tuv and japanese quality(forgot the name) these agencies have strict testing procedures so for rota to be certified by them and manufacturers it means good quality.

And lately they have been very agressive with the tuner market as they have the new motorsport series and other new designs. As cmpared to recent years wherein they concentrated on o.e and exporting and they limited designs..
