Ganyan din ako dati. Mga 5 years na rin akong driver nung una akong naflatan tapos swerte pa na malapit sya sa vulcanizing shop.

Suggestion ko is to be prepared na lang. Praktis ka brod sa bahay para may peace of mind ka anywhere you go. May instruction naman sa manual on tire replacement kasama yung mga safety procedures.

Don't underestimate the power of adrenaline. You'll able to change flattire Kahit hinde mo pa nagagawa once you have no choice but replace it yourself. As long as you have an idea how.

More on safety and convenience talaga ang concern ko. You should atleast know where to put the jack, the kalso, when to untighthen the bolts, order of tighthening the bolts, etc.

Iba pa rin kasi yung alam mo na gagawin mo kesa kung kelan ka lang maflatan eh dun mo pa lang aaralin... lalu na kung may chikas kang nililigawan na pasahero mo. Additional pogi points din yun.

well, in my most recent new car purchase, all they gave was the jack, the one-armed cross wrench, and the jack stick. i had to buy everything else. i know manufacturers are into weight-saving measures, but this is ridiculous!
and i bet i have something in my trunk most of you don't have... two blocks of wood!
    Oo nga sir.

Are you sure you don't mean "a case of Jack Daniel's bottles"? ;)

^ Maybe he meant screwdriver and wrenches.

Pero modern cars, irrelevant na rin yan most of the time. Halos lahat ng field-serviceable items tool-less na. Clipped-on na lang or in case sa mga hoses, pliers lang kailangan. Di katulad noong mga 70's-80's, pati yata yung cover ng fuse box naka-philips screw.

I once bought an hydrolic jack. Basta lang ako bumili ng di sinukat. Nangyari sobrang laki. Nung na flat ako di pala kasya sa ilalim. So I bought a smaller one. Next time I used it kasya naman sya sa ilalim yun nga lang yung pinaka mataas nya eh sayad pa rin ang gulong kasi di naman flat. Good thing Sa bahay ito so I used the small jack and inserted the tall jack nung kasya na. I think I need to invest on an alligator jack, maybe that one can be small enough on flat tire and can extend enough to be able to remove my tires.

pag nagpa-PMS ako pinapa check ko na rin yung mga turnilyo lahat ng pwedeng lumuwag or malapit ng palitan pinapaayos ko na just in case na may emergency pwedeng itakbo agad na hindi nag-aalangan.

Anyways Goodyear distro didn't change bad tire for free. No problem, got the same tire as the others. Love the quiet cabin at 150kph hehehe. Ready for the next road trip ☺

Hahaha, suspense yung sagot sa tanong paano nasagot yung nojack situation.

Anyway, my dad taught me when I was in my teens, on our roadtrips, how to properly change a flat tire. Like most of you, scissor jack lang din ang freebie sa akin. I hate that jack because it's so taxing to use. On the other hand, unlike a leaky hydraulic jack which can crush you when left unchecked, the long thread assures that there will be almost no scenario of the lift failing.

Talking about flat tires, question: If my regular tires are 19s and my spare is just the stock full-size 17 (205/50/17), can I still use that safely in the event I needed it? I guess the other way to put it is, what should I keep in mind should I upgrade my tires to 19s?

Midyo Safe naman siguro sir pero i think kakabig bahagya ang car mo so wag mo ng itakbo ng matulin and hanap na agad ng ok na shop para sa gulong mo para makabit narin agad.
