    hello mga sirs and gurus.

what do you mean standard springs? nagpalit ka ba or same as stock?

anyways, i think the offset is wrong kaya sumasabit sa fender yan.

well, either wrong offset wheels or it's simply too wide/big to give proper clearance.

what he probably means is stock springs... hindi aftermarket lowering.
205, i think is too big, sasabit ka dyan pag dating sa turning (turning radius).

205's is not that big... parang standard size lang yan ng 17's. my friend has 17's 205/40/17, has no rubbing problems.

if you go any higher like 215's, then that might cause rubbing problems na.

I think the tire might be too tall. If I remember correctly, 195/55R15 yung stock mo? That means the 205/45R17 tire is almost an inch taller. If you don't have your own tire calculator on your PC, refer to the ever-loving http://miata.net/garage/tirecalc to calculate appropriate tire sizes.

205/40 is the best fit for the Civic. You can have your fenders rolled... see if that helps. About 750 pesos, whole car, at Speedlab on Quezon Avenue. Just had mine done there. If the offset of your mags is off (if, for example, the wheels stick out the sides of the car) the benefit will be minimal. If you have the right offset, this may be enough of a cure to help you avoid buying a whole new set of tires for another few months, at least. But it'll still rub when you turn over a hump.

If you change your springs to stiffer ones, the car won't move up and down on its wheels as much, so it minimizes "sayad".

From the pictures... the offset of your mags isn't right for the Civic, but that shouldn't be such a big problem, except that your tires are way too big. Sure, they fill out the space nicely, but that's the reason they're rubbing.

You have to find it from the manufacturer information regarding your stock wheels. For front wheel drive cars, it's usually between 40-48. But you really need to ask at a club for your particular car, where guys are more familiar with what rims will fit and what will not.

make sure to check the tip of your fenders, baka na rub off na yung paint sa ilalim which causes kalawang kung nababasa.. and sometimes it can dent the tip.

Sirs, need help naman sakin .. my case is, nag-upgrade ako from 14 to 17. Stock ko yung 14 but can't remember the exact tire size. I now have 215/45/17 for my 04 lancer. SE37 model n EvO. The problem is kapag nagtu-turn ako to the right, sumasayad right wheel ko sa front sa inboard wheel well, pero i have no problem turning to the left. Walang sayad both wheels in front. Any idea about this? masyado ba malapad tires ko? or is it the wheel well ng kotse, di ba similar diameter ng left and right? Hope you can help me guys pano ko macorrect to... kakaconfused! TIA!

pareho ba turning radius nila? I think it shouldnt have a problem kung pantay yung turning radius ng right and left. kung sumayad man dapat pareho.

No idea sir flakeZ about the turning radius, cguro i have to make some researches... just bought this car kasi sa automall mandaluyong, 2nd hand. If different kaya turning radius, do i have to replaced yung nakakabit sakin na tires? ouch...

I had the same problem nung nag 17s ako. It turned out na wala sa alignment yung wheels ko kaya hindi sya pantay. Sa right side lang sumasayad if i turn. Maybe you want to have your alignment checked. HTH

Pa-align na ko as soon as possible. Bigay po ko feedback after alignment. Sad to say, walang shell station near my location. I know one but sa SLEX pa, any other shops that you can recommend na madali kausap and reliable. How bout goodyear servitek, never tried this shop. Meron po malapit samin. Any comment po with this shop. Sir mar_coy, how much did it cost you to have your wheels aligned? TNx!
