AFAIK most of the cars sold here have stock mags made by Rota.

When I still had my Lancer box-type with me, my wheels were banana-type Rotas and I used them for years. Hindi naman ako na-oblongan.

my former singkit also has 15" starfish type rota mags... wala ring naging problema.
i may have to agree with BBimmer. silverwind daw yung malambot... narinig ko na rin yung balitang yun.

I had rota wheels on my previous ride... only had one "bengkong" incident with it. I hit a very big pothole along NLEX (at high speed too). Even before I had it fixed, I had no air leaks, etc.

I use my Rotas off-road. No problem. I think that's enough of a test for most road conditions.

Siliverwind at Philippine Racing ang layo ng quality from Rota.

There's still Philippine Racing? Where can I find them? Are they any good?

Silverwinds are still far off ROTA quality... most Silverwinds I see are heavy, and a lot of their designs are old fashioned.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

If you want rare colors, you can contact Rota directly at their factory in Bicutan. That's the only place you can get mags in colors that they only sell as exports.

Rota din ang karamihang gamit ng Auto-X'er sa US, wala namang problema. May once incident noon pero it was quickly resolved by doing a recall on most wheels sold according to manufacture date. After that incident, Rota had improved the load ratio of each wheel manufactured.

I've had deformed ROTAs, but then I've had non-ROTA mags deform under similar conditions, also. My route is very provincial, lots of potholes, bumps, rocks, ruts, etc... taken at speed. ANY "aftermarket" magwheel will deform under these conditions.

ROTA developed their "soft" reputation because stock mags usually don't deform when you hit bumps at those speeds because they have thicker tires to protect them. If your stock mags are as big as ROTAs, with thin tires, there's absolutely no difference.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
