Related to this... how about if my stock tires are 245/60R18. Should I go with 255/55R18 or 265/60R18?

My stock mags specs for tires is 215 / 50 R17, is there a negative effect if I will use 225 / 50 R17 & go against the stock specs? Just curious.

One size going up is fine... two steps higher is risking too much.

If you increase tire size, chances are you will have increase in fuel consumption.

Just to make it look a bit wider and sometimes depends on the availability of the desired size per brand.

With 245/60r18 as OEMs, 255/60r18 will give you about the same ride height. 255/55r18 is too low.
