Because painting requires a lot of skills... Applying fillers, sanding, painting are 3 different skills.

Fillers : a) Heavy fillers, I use Polytuff followed by b) light (green) putty.

Sanding : normally.,use 3 different grits, heavy grut 60, medium grit 120, finishing grit 2k...as prep before painting... After painting, more sanding... Sa grits... 1k, 2k, 3k grit. You know how to dry and wet sand?

Painting : a) Primer b) Base coat c) Color coat d) Top coat... In between these .... A lot of sanding

Sometimes you need to use a mix of aluminum powder + mighty bond for deep gutter marks

And you'll need a lot of time and patience

I only DIY my expensive mags
