^don't subscribe to "coyotes" (mga middlemen na maghahanap para sa yo) kasi mamimiyersyento lang yan sa pagbibilihan mo. pero kahit ganun... mura pa din.

I buy my tires at Ben's OK at Banawe near corner Maria Clara Street. Very good prices and decent trade in values... They also offer a lot of tires to choose from...

^^yeah, in banawe Bens ok is a good place to buy tires.

Madali kausap and pwede subok kung bagay mags. Pero itatapat lang, bawal mount.

Good enough just to see if trip yung mags.

Chanced upon a promo on a pair of goodyear assurance duraplus for the Camry at Super Miler along Tuason (cross Edsa from Cubao). With the promo, it went down to 3250 each (date code March this year).

Inabutan ko pa yung namimili ng lumang gulong - was able to sell the worn out pair for a hundred.

I bought a set of 195/60/15 Petlas tires at P2,900 per from Tire Center near Sucat & had it mounted on my new rims appro. a month ago. Free mounting, balancing, alignment & Nitrogen (with free refills). I just had to pay for the weights & valves. The equipment is new. What I did not like was when the technician over tightened the bolts & I had to bring the car to a gas station just to loosen the bolts. They don't even know what a torque wrench is. The technicians skills are average & can't compare to the ones of Bridgestone Alabang.

I'm currently looking for 225.55.17s and I've already called JIGA, Freddy's and Minerva. They only have Dunlops LM704s and Federals for that size. I wanted to check offerings from Kumho, Falken and Toyo for more options, aside from the OE Bridgestones. Any shop recommendations carrying the forementioned brands? TIA

GTD Tires in Banawe carries Kumho, Falken, and Toyo. Not sure if they come in your size though - I'd assume you have a midsize car?

I think the Yokohama BluEarth-A comes in that size.

Thanks Jut, I'll try and give them a call. Also called other branches of JIGA in Paranaque and found Falkens, but the manufacturing date on them is dated 2015. Tires are for a previous generation forester. I'm not surprised now why a lot of owners switched to 18s since they seem easier to find compared to this size. Others ended up with Federals or Potenzas.
