Now I am deciding among Bridgestone, Michelin and Yokohama. They don't carry Toyo and Kumho. May phobia na ko sa cheap tires. I had a tire blow out back in college Gajah Tungcal yung brand.
be sure to compare apples to apples. in this case, Passenger tire vs Passenger tire, Sports tire vs Sports tire, Touring tire vs Touring tire, etc. ask for the exact model of the tire and its class. Sports and Touring tires might cost more but they give better performance than your standard Passenger tires.

Minerva Tyre Gallery at Macapagal sells Kumho. Check the production date when buying.

Federal tires ok din. But check the model also. Sikat ang Federal sa budget tire. But vote ko is Kumho ecsta parin

I've heard a lot of good feedback on kumho, nexen, federal, cooper and savero GT which I think is Gajah Tunggal.

Yung bad experience ni Cathy with GT, possible na old stock or under inflated yung tires kaya sumabog.

Since when has Nitto been better than Michelin or Bridgestone?

Dito lang sa Pilipinas mataas tingin sa Nitto (kudos to their marketing guys). Most probably because their tires have fancy tread patterns, which people love to pair with their 20" rims. But fancy tread is not equal to stellar performance.

Also, locally, Nitto doesn't have tires for Cathy's size. They focus specifically on bling-bling SUV/pickup owners.

Cath, cheapest decent tires I've seen when I was looking for tires before for our Altis (205/55 R16) is Dunlop LM704 (4.3k) and Toyo Proxes (4.1k).

They should be much cheaper in 15" size.
