    Has anyone tried having commercial tires recapped by bandag? OK ba siya? Is it reliable and could it be used for off road? Thanks

    imho, bandag recapping is being used by trucks and buses, so it has to be that reliable.

    I was surprised with the comment that it is good as new. If I remember years ago recapped tires were remedyo solutions but from what I read was it is main stream now not only here but even in europe.
    Hmmmm.... I guess you are right a lot of commercial vehicles use recapped but I wanted to make sure from first hand experiences

    Recapping is okay for heavy duty tires such as trucks and tractors use... but for the tires you need on passenger cars, which need to be relatively well balanced and uniform for high-speed stability, it's not really an option.

    It's nothing new... they do it in the US, too...

    OK agreed it is good for commercial use. What is considered as high speed? Lets say I run my truck max 80kph. Is that considered as high speed?
