about tire and mags sizes?

hi guys, tnx in advance sa mga magrereply dito pero i'm just wondrin regarding sa mags sizes, i know a bit on how to read and understand about tire sizes but sa mags, hindi na. i'm planning to change my stock mags for my altis 1.8 seg lovelife body to 17 inches, kakasya po ba nag 205/50/r17 and what po ang exact size ng mags na sukat para dito 17x ?? i don't know. tnx.

nde po mag kaksya ang 205/50/r17 masyado na mkapal un, 205/45/r17 or 215/40/r17 pwede!

nachek ko na sa tire calculator ung 205/45/r17 na suggested ni sir mamar and it only increased about 4-8% sa stock size so i think(correct me pls kung mali ako) ayos ba un?

size: 17x7= 17 inches ang diameter ng rim/mags at 7 inches ang width

offset:38= ito yung measurement ng mags, distance from your stud bolts, the higher the offset mas lalabas sa body ng car yung tires, the lower number mas papasok sa loob ang tires(or the other way around hehehe).

Holes:4 = no explanation necessary

pcd:100= distance of one hole to another, in milimeters. ex pag pcd110 mas malayo mga butas sa isa't isa

btw bro, sa ganyan kalapad na mags baka mag rub sa fenders mo ang tires. Yung dating corolla ae101 ko naka 205/45 r16 lang nag rub na sa fenders pag may sakay sa likod. sa lovelife na body mas maliit pa ang clearance ng fenders kaya baka mag negative camber ka pa just to fit the tires. ang optimum increase in overall diameter mga 1-2% lang. 4-8% is too much, babagal na acceleration mo due to the larger diameter not to mention madaling masira suspension components due to the heavier weight. Thats just my 2 cents.

ah ganun ba sayad, tnry ko ung 205/40/r17 sa tire calc, pareho lang sukat sa stock na 185/65/r14.

and about dun papala sa 17x7 na un ano exact tire size para dito, about sa tire add info ko sa side lumapad cya ng estimate ko ulit by 5,10 or 15mm...

The 185/65/14 measures at 23.47" diameter and the 205/40/17 is 23.46" diameter. However, the 205 is wider by 20mm so your tires may rub the wheelwell plastic when you make turns. I had the same thing happen with my GSR using 205/40/17 so I just trimmed the plastic from the wheelwell.

Uso ba 17x7 na mags dito? Alam ko sa US, pero dito sa Pinas, usually 6 and 6.5 lang ang madalas na makita kong rim width.

Re: offset, for me, its not that important. When I bought my Rota mags early this year, I didn't take that into consideration. Also, yung pinagbilhan ko ng mags (West Racing), nung tinanong ko anong offset ng mags, just gave me a "what the F^ck are you talking about" look.

Buhayin ko lng ang thread na ito. Im planning to buy a new set of alloy rim for my kia carens, the specs of my stock rim is:

Size: 15"
PCD: 5x114.3
Offset: +55
Center Bore: 67.1
Tire Size: 205/65

Specs of the New Rim:
Size: 16"
PCD: 5x114.3
Offset: +38
Center Bore: 73.1

Can this fit on my carens (offset difference is way too big)? what will be the issue if i use a lower offset? what tire size should i buy? and lastly, how can i address the difference in center bore? TIA

when we go out, puno ang auto ko - me and my wife, and my 4 kids (2 teeners, 2 small kids). gusto ko lakihan nang kaunti wheels ko to 16"...

sirs heto questions ko-

1. anu maganda tire width to support us all? and offset too... looking for un better handling and un hindi masyado matagtag.

2. ok ba un dark color wheels sa light metallic silver na auto? like un gunmetal color...

keep your new mags diameter up to 16" if you're concerned sa pagiging matagtag. . .the combination of width and side wall height will be dictated by the original total diameter of your stock wheel, you should stick to it

personally, i prefer if the color of the mags is in contrast to the color of the car. . .good luck, bro
