What days are you going to use it? What will be your usual route?

got 20 inch in my FORT... if SAFETY is your concern, no users had villified their oversized(?) rims..

you will hear more of its disadvantages from rumormongers who have no personal experience from this size...

the only drawback IMHO is the rigidity of the ride which can be compensated by having the proper shock absorber in your ride...

you'd probably have to go with 30-35 series tires. i agree with the ride quality degradation comment. you'd also have to be extra alert roving the streets of the metro

I hope your BMW's suspension is up to the task. 19 inch rims and matching tires will let you feel every single crack and whatever imperfections the road has.

Just set aside a budget for rim dent repair. :D

When i got "BELLE" (name of my new 02' 316i BMW) it already had a miledge of 48,000. I pressume the shock absorbers are still stock. Would you suggest i change the shock absorbers? if so, with what sir? thanks

knows a lot of people who instaled 19s on their rides ... sa totoo safe? i think nasayo na yan on how you drive your car sympre if you have 19s, mas maingat ka talaga compared to 18s .... plus you really cant go eveywhere with those rims baka tamaan yung lip or something ... but definitely your car would be a looker

also nasa tires narin yan e kung matibay or hindi ... pero on the 02 e46 3 series? 19s is definitely worth it

siguro magiging SAFE dahil mas mabagal ang pag drive mo. and magiging attentive ka sa road dahil sa pag avoid mo ng potholes. yan ang Advantage ng may mamahaling wheels and tires attentive ka palagi.

If a BMW M3 with 340hp only has 18" why go higher than that?

Aside from looking good it has no other purpose... your acceleration will suffer dramatically. Plus the risk of damaging your rims is really high.

Will it be proper then to conclude that 18" rims are more practical than 19"rims?

IMO - I'd go only up to 17" for your 316i.

Though if you ask me, I'd stick with some decent 16" rims.

hehe i think thats his purpose na talaga for thinking of getting 19s to look good ... the 316i has no speed or whatever rin naman e hehe so might as well go all show kasi the car is no go to start with hehe

A lot of you are one in saying that speed should be reduced. Understood. But to what level? Like, will it still be safe to do a 140 km/h drive along the skyway?

Are 19-inch Rims Safe?
