Next week, I'll be driving to a Surf camp along MacArthur Highway in San Fernando, La Union. I just need directions coming from Manila.

    Can anyone help?

Traditional route: NLEX all the way to sta. ines -> bamban-> tarlac->urdaneta->pangasinan->damortis-> agoo->aringgay->caba->bauang la union-> san fernando la union = 5-6 hours.

NLEX-SCTEX-TPLEX all the way to Pozzorubio exit. And then just go straight on McArthur until you reach La Union.

Around 6 hours travel time including traffic and stopovers.

Thanks, Jut. I will take that route as we are going to Kahuna next weekend.

Don't forget to try out the Greek food at Gefseis, the s'mores at El Union, and the night life at Flotsam. Question: Easiest Drive to La Union

I might try the Greek food and the s'mores but not the nightlife. It's a beach weekend with the kids.

It's not a hardcore party, that's what I like about LU's vibe - just music, food, drinks, and the general ambiance of people lounging and having a good time by the beach.

It tends to get crowded on Saturdays though so if you want it more laid back, Friday night works nicely. Sunday is even emptier but I assume you'll also be heading back by then.
