the bad roads are really all over baguio. blame the incessant rains for them -- it feels like it has been raining for forty days here now. sometimes, the volume of water from the sky seems to be of deluvian proportions compared to the rains we've had the years before.

pero siyempre, blame na rin the system of awarding contracts to the lowest bidder -- how can we get good roads that way?

try to drive thru pangasinan and tarlac now... i even had to scrap my usual nightime/early morning drives instead to daytime drives just so to avoid those multiplying potholes.

which is very irritating. it really ruins my day to see the ongoing flyover work at the bgh rotunda. a totally unneeded project in which the funds for it could be put to better use elsewhere in benguet, not in baguio city. why the dpwh is so hellbent on building it does not take an iota of brainwork.

i'm no mayor yaranon fan but he's bent on ridding most red tapes + corruption. kaya lang maraming nasa pwesto na ayaw sa kanya dahil hindi na sila kumikita ng tulad ng dati.

i agree. i admire the guy because he won the elections despite the odds stacked against him and his unphotogenic appearance. he would have accomplished more during his tenure were if not for the other politicians/clowns within and without the city hall messing up the situation just because......

di naman exactly gumuguho. what happened was the road surface sagged very visibly and separated from the sidewalk. na-obvious na minadali ung trabaho. they are redoing that section now, mga 100 meters yata yun.

kadalasan ganon naman,,kung di minadali ay naiiwanan ang trabaho ng matagal..

grabe. highly urbanized na talaga dyan. nakakamiss tuloy yung old baguio. nakakamiss kumain sa 19th tee ng john hay. ...ngayon pag umaakyat ako dyan, parang nasa maynila pa rin ako. may SM na kse. dati sarap pa mag stoll lang sa session rd. halos kilala ko pa lahat ng naglalakad din.
