Planning to buy a kia soul

Hi everyone!

I'm seriously planning to buy a kia soul. However, I find it hard to commit 1.4M for it (total ng 5 years to pay) - even though maganda ung offer ng dealer.

I was wondering if you guys could help me decide... Meron na ba dito na may kia soul? Anything to say about it?

It looks good. It's unique and it's stunning.

Even it's interior is great, has a lot of toys that you could play with.

Though the sad thing is, it's hefty price mark. And ... with the low DP that the dealer offers to you the larger the monthly amortization would be.

If you really like it, then go. But if you're open to other choices, then the Hyundai Genesis Coupe would be a good alternative.

For me, its a hell of a nice car, but its just plain too expensive. For that price tag, you have a lot of other tried and tested vehicles, a lot bigger, powerful, and spacious. They were offering a 1.6L model for 875k before. That price is more like it.

Buy it if you have tons of cash, but if you're going to pay in installments for 5 years, forget it.

i like this car also. but like everyone else is saying, mahal sya. very spacious for passengers. pero not much cargo space. kaya kung family outing with lots of things to bring, baka mabitin sa space. kia has a test drive unit. but you need to schedule in advance. one month in advance daw.

if you can wait, there are rumors that the new sportage will be out soon.

if i have the money to burn, i wouldn't mind buying this. but sad to say, wala

That's one thing din.. the dealer was really really good. nakapag test drive ako using his manager's soul (that dosent sound right hehehe)... I tried running it sa commonwelth ave then into our village, grabe sobrang comfy ng ride. Considering na 16tkm na ung odometer dun sa unit ang comfy comfy ng ride...

and to think na medyo malubak sa village namin (as in moon surface dahil sa construction work sa entrance), sobra comfy nya, almost na-tanggal lahat ng bumps.

I also like the acceleration.. mabagal sa simula but very responsive ung car.. i floored the gas pedal after the overpass sa tandang sora and got to 100kph in an in instant (mga 3 secs 20-100kph), overtaking every other car...

The Kia SOUL 1.6L has an underwhelming acceleration performance. Frustrating when trying to do simple overtaking or getting to highway speeds.

Yeah, I think that was the pre-selling price...

The real price for the Soul 1.6 LX M/T is P1.075M, about P95K less than the 2.0 LX M/T.

that's a good offer. kaya lang paalala hindi suv manakbo ito. parang sedan lang talaga. ilan beses na ako gumimik sakay dito. nararamdaman ko talaga ang lubak and uneveness ng Phil. roads.

The Kia Soul is a nice car but it is more expensive than other equivalent vehicles of its class or near it's class.

And it has one major short coming too... the cargo area is very very small especially with the rear seats up.

1.5m pero 5 years to pay? hmmm. base price ng soul is 1.320m. sa C! magazine, nakalagay sya under premium compact, so baka ganun tlga pakay ng kia. dapat bibili rin kami nyan pero we bought a 4x4 kia sportage. mas malaki, mas roomy, mas capable, at diesel pa. but it comes down to what you are looking for. compact ba hanap mo, suv ba o compact sedan? pero magandang choice ang kia soul. finally, try to look in other dealers. they may have better offers such as freebies and stuff.

If its gonna be your only ride and with your inhibitions, dont. Pero kung 2nd car lang and pamasyal lang them by all means go for it

Isn't the point of the Soul to be as car like as possible? Even SUV's want to drive like cars nowadays (something I'm not particularly fond of but the buyers have voted with their wallets and want softer SUV's).

But yes, its a bit overpriced for my taste. Though may market naman for it albeit a small one.

My sister just bought a Soul ES A/T last week. Maganda nga talaga ang ride and sobrang lakas ng makina for its body. She got a very good deal. 150K discount all in, plus freebies. Try to haggle with your SA 'coz Kia's trying to reduce their inventory of this 2.0L before the 1.6L variant comes out. Good luck!
