January 10th, 2011 03:05 PM #1hello tsikoteers!
more power sa tsikot.com!

sir,
try niyo muna magpalit ng good quality air filter. tapos change oil kayo every 5,000 km or 3 months.
mausok din pajero ko before, pero nung na-maintain na namin ng mabuti, wala ng usok kahit i-floor mo pa. well meron konti, pero super konti lang talaga.
also, try to use Top1 motor oil. i dont know why pero nawala usok dun.

February 8th, 2011 07:35 PM #3thanks sa reply crazy_boy!
Sana nga makuha lang sa palit ng air filter at change oil ang problem ko para maiwasan ko ang mas malaking gastos. i know pag di nasolve sa suggestion mo eh i think i need to bring my van to a diesel center to have it check. if i do that then for sure i will need to shell out the pesos.
What brand of air filter ang masa-suggest mo? Where can i buy this brand filter and top1 motor oil? kapa-change oil ko lang sa shell using shell diesel premium oil btw. naglagay din nga ako ng stp additive.

I suggest send all fuel injectors to calibration shop for pressure test/adjustment and/or overhaul. Set fuel injectors opening pressure to maker's suggested value.

February 9th, 2011 09:49 AM #5Thanks for the reply, weisshorn!
Kaya i really appreciate any help you can give.
Over 155K na ang naitakbo nito. Main vehicle kasi to. Anyway, i just did the oil change recently pero di ko pa napapalitan ang air filter and fuel filter. May idea ka ba how much will it cost itong na-mention mo "all fuel injectors to calibration shop for pressure test/adjustment and/or overhaul. Set fuel injectors opening pressure to maker's suggested value"? And may marerecommend ka bang reliable diesel shop na pede kong puntahan? Again, maraming salamat sa pag reply.

sir i suggest log in more often. para mabasa mo naman yung mga suggestions sayo bago ka magpagawa.
since nagpa-change oil ka na, next thing na gawin mo is:
1. change air filter element.
2. change fuel filter.
3. wash exhaust system.
if mausok parin yan, probably advance timing mo. or sira na injectors mo.
and remember to change oil every 3 months or 5000km.

February 10th, 2011 10:11 AM #7Gawin mo muna ang 3 suggestion sa itaas.
Pwede mo DIY ito lahat if you are comfortable using wrenches & other hand tools. Para malaman mo kung parehas ang pwersa ng bawat cylinder do this: Again lossen up one injector fuel line (Ex. injector nr 1), this will cut off fuel injection to that cylinder. This will give you hint how your injectors are performing. Good luck.

February 12th, 2011 10:43 PM #8thanks, weisshorn!
will do the initial 3 suggestions you just mentioned. will try to do the advance troubleshooting myself but if i have doubts then i will leave it to a specialist to check the fuel injectors.
