I think medyo ok yung price ng 1.6. Pero hindi ba siya kina bare? I need to test drive the soul..

What's the best casa deal ba for the 1.6? thanks!

Are there any tsikot members here who have the 1.6 soul? Kamusta po ang FC? Wala po bang engine knock issue? Ang accent kasi na same engine lang sila has an engine knock issue (based from what I've read for the 1.4 engine ang may engine knock and havent seen engine knock complaints sa 1.6 - although konti lang kasi ang naka 1.6 engine).

Hi everyone!

Just got my Kia Soul A/T (1.6L) 2-weeks ago.

It has been a blast driving it around the metro.

The Soul is pretty maneuverable and it can easily get through tight spots.

It's ride is pretty decent, not as bumpy as my Honda Jazz.

I am loving everything about it except for the it's fuel consumption. After my first full tank, I calculated that it only ran 6kms/liter (city driving).

This made my heart sink. Sales peeps sa casa (Kia New Manila) said that its fuel consumption is around 11-13kms/liter while a review of autoindustriya said that it performs at about 9kms/liter.

At the moment, I try no to exceed 2000rpm while driving.

Is there any other way to improve its fuel efficiency? Should I take it back and have it checked?

Got my Kia Soul 1.6 AT last week of August. We drove it all the way to Ilokos with 3 adults and 2 kids during typhoon Mina for break-in. Going there FC was at 13km/L including 4 hrs wherein we got stranded in La Union due to flooding in one area with no traffic movement at all with the engine running for A/C use. Can't open the windows cause of the rain brought about by the typhoon. The ride is pretty decent, not bumpy at all and my kids like the roominess of the back seat. Wasn't able to compute the FC coming back to Manila. Now it's my wife's car. No issue at all about engine knock or whatsoever. Fuel being used is Shell supersave unleaded.

Maybe it's because di pa siya na-break in...? How many kilometers yung first full tank? Was it in heavy traffic? And baka short distances yung drive mo?

And wow 4 straight hours na traffic? How did you compute the FC - manually?

I agree that the Kia Soul has a pretty decent ride.

Made another run to Pampanga today.

This time i gassed upon reaching back Manila.

Was able to get 12.43 kms/liter.

Still not happy.

Hope it improves as i put on more mileage on this car.

For the Soul 1.6 AT, its 205 55 R16...

Got the titanium silver.

sor far it only has 150kms and had another full tank to measure fc. mejo mababa siya, 6.7 km/l city driving sa computation ko. siguro dahil bago pa nga. hoping it would improve.

oo nga good idea ang club. konti lang naman ata tayo may soul, madali lang siguro i-organize yan.
