The fascia looks a bit too busy though, Xpander-ish.

Still if the features are all there, this could be a winner for KIA. That's what I like about them, they don't scrimp on the amenities so much. Unlike Hyundai.
spec sheet is for india. we might get 2-5variants only

If I know KIA Master SE, at most they will likely bring in just 3 models.

1 gas and 2 diesels. Same as the Sportage. Nyahahaha.

It's good to have more choices though, I'm surprised ACI hasn't been capitalizing on all the great offerings in their line-up.

This would most likely slot into the ecosport category....

The Seltos is supposed to replace the Soul, right? The small crossover just below the Sportage in terms of size.

Looks like it as there is no "new" soul rumor.
And judging from the engine size disp, it really looks like an "suv" below sportage.

Manufacturers are just cashing in on the SUV or crossover bandwagon. It's the trend nowadays. It need not be sporty, as long it looks the part. Hehehehe

The pricing is from India and the Seltos that's on sale there was built in India. We're more likely getting the Made in Korea variants which would mean the pricing would probably be more expensive.

I would get the LX trim. And introduce aftermarket upgrades to improve lighting, infotainment and other interior details.

I would probably be spending around 100 to 150k worth of upgrades. Still cheaper than getting the EX and SX trims.

I visited KIA Sta. Rosa and KIA Mandaluyong jut recently. I found out that all variants here in the Philippines have Intelligent Variable Transmission. I am just a new driver and this will be my first buy so I want to ask from the experienced does this mean that these variants in the Philippines were not included or exempted from the gearbox problem as reported above?

Hope Ayala will consider bringing in variants equipped with diesel engine. India got the 1.5 L U-Line (D4FA) CRDi.

Of course their problem is going to be how to price the diesel variant.

Any idea if the local units are imported from Korea? Or India?

I just finished test driving the Seltos mid trim. Masyadong light ung manubela which is for me eh disadvantage kasi galing ako sa mabigat na manibela ng adventure.

By the way the agent told me the imported units were from Korea. Ask ko lang kung ano difference po kaya kung manggagaling units from India v Korea?

Siguro yan ang difference ng EPS vs Hydraulic PS. FYI, ang EPS tumitigas manebela habang bumibilis takbo mo.

Thanks for the new info. May natutunan ako bago. I think this explains alot bakit medyo ayoko ng malambot na manibela kasi I am thinking what if I am already at high speed, nakakakaba na for me?
Hindi ko lang din kasi na try mag high speed ng husto during the test drive. Therefore mas ok na sa akin kung ung EPS ni Seltos will make the steering heavy kapag high speeds na for safety...
