Hi Grail,
Welcome to this KIA thread...I owned KIA 1995 LX Sedan. Tapos na pintura ng car black color sya, I just changed the wear and tear components. Right now, i was more on beautification of my car like changing of steering wheel kaya lang problema yung boss kit.
Here are my new accessories for my KIA bought it from Singapore:
- MOMO Millenium immitation steering wheel
- Type R shift knob
- Type R washer with LED
- Type R Pedals set
- Type R cigarrette extender
- will be changing New tires to 175-60-r13
- and other stuffs

I am planning to change the exhaust system into free flow and air cleaner system to K&N. Can anybody help me on this? and how much will it cost? Di ko alam kung praktikal ang modifications ko kasi baka 1 or 2 taon ko lang gagamitin ito. My wife is the one driving it so more on dressing up the car.

bhords69: gusto ba ni misis ng maingay (vroom!)? my generic free-flow muffler cost me P2200 (w/ installation) and my Simota costs P1500 plus air breather P300. K&N carb filters costs about P3000-3500. Kaya sa Simota na lang ako :D. btw, how much yung pa-repaint mo? gusto ko kasi pa-change color, nakakabwisit yung white color. kaso parang gusto ko din yung change engine na offer ni kiaallmotor. halos magkapresyo yung dalawa eh. pero sigurado uunahin ko muna yung suspension/steering components na palitin na. malamang yung change color and/or engine sa 2004 na :?. saan ka ba bumibili ng mga parts? pa-service?

punta ka sa Makati malapit sa mayapis, there's a group of car accessories and audio system shops. Marami doon may Type R na parts, although noon ko pa nabili yung akin. The knob costs about P300, the boot P200+, the pedals about P700+.

secondary car ko kasi yung kia, i'm using an adventure right now. Im still trying to fix up my battered kia pride, it just suffered a blow, yupi yung right front fender ko eh, then the roof suffered bomb hits from coconuts, kaya i need a full body repair and repaint. Plus the aircon leaks, so another gastos. Nag-inquire ako kay KIAALLMOTOR about engine swap, since plan ko din ito. But I need to fix up the other parts muna. Pati selling price ng car ko, almost non-existent. Kaya better keep it na lang.

Just bought used 1997 Kia Pride CD5. 3rd owner na po ako. mataas po lagi yung menor nya kahit hindi naka aircon. pina check ko po sa mekaniko, ang sabi po ay sira daw yung IDLE UP ko. pwede pa bang ma repair yun? san po nakakabili at magkano.

Mga KIA Peeps! Happy New Year to all!!!!.....Sorry ngayon lang ako nadalaw sa tread since no time to be here while on holiday. Yup! umuwi ako ng pinas for more than 2 weeks kaya lang I was in Isabela (Ilocos). I managed to drive also my KIA car down to Manila to fixed other components since ibang piyesa ay hindi available sa province. Sad to say that repainting was a big disappointment, palpak yung pintor at di pa masyadong makinis yung final coating nya but anyway I have to accept that fact. Palpak din yung mekaniko ko sa province so decided to bring it in Manila. These are all the parts replaced...aray ko po!!!!!: All shocks replaced Front And Rear(mando made in korea), CV Joints L&R, Alternator (Japan rebuilt), All Window Channels and seals, Rewire to its original wiring system kasi yung system ko was using AVR before, Front Disks L&R + Brake pads, Brake Shoe sa Rear drum brake, Thermostat Control + Aircon Cleaning & Declogging And new accessories like new steering wheel, shift knob, seat cover, new tail light (from 96 model GTX), windshield sticker and Type R washer...I guess I have to enjoy all this till it lasts. Pinachanged oil ko rin to Castrol GTX with Engine flush. The car now is running smoothly when I drove it back to Isabela loaded pa kami with my family, isa na lang ang dapat ayusin yung rear suspension bushing kasi sumisipa kapag nasa rough road. Kung sa takbo rin lang ay di pahuhuli especially when i was in Manila talagang hataw!!!!. It even reached up to Tuguegarao when I settled my OWWA there. Super tipid talaga hopefully last major headache ko na yun. Plano ko pa ring paHilamos para naman oks na kasi naisagi rin ng misis ko nung ipasok sa garahe eh! tsk tsk..Namayat husto bulsa ko:cry::cry::cry:
I am planning to buy a bigger family car before the end of this year at baka gawin ko na lang ito na Project car...Cheers!!!!!:lol:

isang hamak na owner din kami ng kia (both sedan at yung hatchback) matindi narin
serbisyo naibigay nito, eto gamit namin pag umuuwi dyan sa bicol, weekly pa yun mga pre, and been travelling that route for 3 years now, so far ok naman, flat tire yung
madalas na problema (attributed narin siguro sa sa road condition) pero serbisyo wise

my impression on the car (Kia Pride - CD5 o LX) is such a simple car na pwede mong gamitin everyday, serves its purpose in taking you whereever you want to go. Matipid sa gaso ( i think nag 22 kms/liter yata ako dati on a CD-5 which belongs to my cousin), practical, spacious tsaka hindi ka matatakot iwan maski saan. i have heard din news na may mayari nyan na sinugod sa baha yung cd-5 nya tapos hanggang hood na yung tubog, pero hindi sya tumirik (water sealed ba makina nyan?)

kung pang everyday use kasi eh you really don't need power specially kung nandito ka sa metro manila. madali pa sa singitan.

simple lang yun setup ko sa 98 model. Pioneer car stereo with CD changer, Alarm(COBRA), Dashield, Spoiler. seldom ko nang ginagamit.

:wink: The 2000 model naka dressup nang spoiler all around, :cry: kaya lang ay nabangga na hinayupak na nissan terrano. both of may car engine are all stock.

Sana meron din ang KIA PRIDE club so that everybody can show off yun auto nila.

Kung gusto niyo ng club, i think i try natin pumasok sa www.protegetech.org. O kung gusto niyo talagang solo lang ang Kia Pride owners. Depende kasi yan kung ilan ang gusto magparticipate. baka kasi konti lang. For me gusto ko, kaso hindi ko alam kung pano at ano ang hirap ng magkaroon ng isang internet site like Protegetech(Mazda Club). Kung talagang mahirap at konti lang tayo, try ko na lang i-convince organizer ng Protegetech to formalize that Kia Pride is included, since Mazda din naman tsikot natin.

For those who want to have a club, declare it by posting it here. So that we could know kung ilan tayo.
