I have a Kia Pride CD-5, ginagamit ko pa din hanggang ngayon. Malakas makina nya even for a 1.1L, tipid pa. I went to Banaue Rice Terraces using the car, pati mga 1.6L overtake ko kaya naman. May time lang minsan na mahina siya talaga, pero most fo the time ok siya! Ang daling isingit sa kalsada, magpark kasi maikli, maluwag sa loob, lakas ang aircon, at SUBMARINE nga talaga.....di pa ako tinirik ng Kia Pride sa baha.

kahit nga dad ko eh, pag pasyal pasyal lang, mas trip nya gamitin Kia Pride ko kaysa sa mga other cars namin. Medyo hindi nga lang comfortable yung seats nya, pero maluwag naman!

Yung CD-5 HATCHBACK namin bumigay na 2nd owner na kami.....almost 6 years na sa amin....pina-overhaul namin grabe 18k na nagagastos namin pero di pa rin pwedeng makuha....o niloloko lang kami nung mekaniko na pinagpapagawaan namin....

Ako balak ko ring bumili ng kia o charade before the yr ends para
may service ako sa trabaho.....tipid kase sa gas at ok ang performance...
pwede pang ilaban sa palamigan ng aircon sa nissan..hehehe....

Sayang lang pa overhaul mo, dapat pinalitan mo na lang ng makina na surplus na 1.5L DOHC 16-Valve, nagkakabit ako for P26,000 only. variable pa yun kasi depende sa gusto mo na specs. Check out www.protegetech.org

hi guys! i am a proud owner of a kia pride too. :D mine is a lx sedan, 5yrs old, bought it brand new. since i bought it i didn't encounter any problems. :D Nadala ko na rin ito sa baguio twice, subic and zambales. no problem, hirap nga lang sa overtaking. wala pa naman akong pinapalitang major (except the normal wear-and-tear parts), although nung last pm ko, sabi ng mekaniko sa midas (park square) marami na kong dapat palitan sa suspension/steering components.

to kiaallmotor: do you know any store where i can buy kia genuine parts that is cheap? help naman. thanks in advance.

I just bought 2nd hand kia cd5 lowered ung car kaya lang sumasayad sa mga humps, gusto ko sana itaas khit 2 inches at how much kya expenses s gnitong job .it would really help a lot if anyone could give me advice.thanks

not sure about lambo doors but for suicide doors,
we have some members who have shops or knows a shop that can do that work.
1. located in Metro-east but due to typhoon ondoy, the shop is temporarily close....
2. another is in Cavite, shop name is Tonte's custom body works....he is the owner of the flaming red kia sedan with suicide doors...not sure kung kaya din nila ang evo door.....don't have his contact number but I think you can google his shop details....

mga sir....POBREPARIN...di ka pa nag lo-log in kailangan namin ng expertise mo hehe..tulad ng sinabi ko sa unang post binaha ang kia ko sir..nagawa ko na lahat ng sinasabi mo tulad ng change oil etc. and lumabas namang sakit e hindi na ONE-CLICK yung pag start nya pag istart mo (tick!) tutunok lang na ganun..sabi sakin starter daw yung iba naman palitan ko lang ng spark plugs..pa tulong po kung ano dapat kong gawin..salamat in advance ;) kayo ang pag asa ko para di ako ma loko ng mekanikong mang gagantso

Bro, ibig sabihin ni pobre, sa una nyang post, kailangan malinis muna yung loob ng makina (internals) bago ito salinan ng bagong langis, chances are napasukan ng tubig ang loob ng makina kaya tumutope. Maari nito sirain ang makina mo mula sa loob (piston, piston rings, engine block, sama mo na fuel pump, water pump etc.) Kaya mas okay na madrain, malinis at mapatuyo muna lahat tapos salinan ng bagong langis at gas.

Yung "tick" sound, ano ginagawa mo pag "tick" lang? tumutuloy ba sa pagstart on second click? dami pwede i-consider, pwede drained na battery mo, loose connection sa wirings, sparkplugs at pwede din starter.

by the way I was able to buy a '99 model kia pride cd 5 before mag ondoy... mejo dami palitin tapos ngayun may nakita ako na leak sa harap... napapalitan ko na mga oil seals pati yung 2 pcs sa flywheel... meron pa rin... baka may experience kayo sa ganito need input po... salamat

can you be more specific on what part of "harapan"? harapan ba ng engine block?ng transmission?ng water pump?and are you sure that is an engine oil leak?

naghahanap kasi ako ng Seatbelt catcher, door rubber gaskets, rubber molding sa passenger side window sa likod ng driver

Hi guys, I also have a Kia Pride Hatchback, i bought it second hand.. I used it when I am driving alone and in short distances. Madami na ako pinalitan: Radiator repair, Carburetor Kit, Starter, Piston Ring, installed startic switch/relay, bushing at suspensions.. mga 10k din gastos.. Pagkakapalit ng piston ring, gumanda yung tono ng makina, nawala totally yung usok na puti, at tumulin...
My problem is, when i have not used it for 2 days, it's hard to start.. Ok ang redondo pero matagal umandar, My mechanic told me, it's my carburetor plunger.. How can I fix it? Can anyone give my advice....
2nd question is, once I tried to drive it with 3 passengers, pagdating sa akyatin, segunda na, hirap pa din, Normal ba ito sa 1.1 engine? or mahina lang talaga makina? or should I check the pressure plate and clutch?
please help naman jan mga kuya...

Try pressing the gas pedal all the way down twice for at least half a second each before starting the engine. With regards to having 3 passengers at the back, the CD5 has difficulty going uphill even on second gear because of it's displacement of 1.1L. What you can do is to turn off your air-con when going uphill, this will increase the engine power.
