    salamat po sa reply. siguro po di nakayanan load ng aircon. kulang sa lamig kaya nilagay ko sa #4 ang aircon ayon uminit mga wires then dumikit sa chassis kaya nasunog. Pahiram na lng kaya mga baril nyo sir panakot ko lang pregio ko para di na maulit he he..

    1. top speed ko 100kph lang, sagad na talaga. saka lang lalagpas pag pababa.
    Ganyan talaga pag matic. I own a 00 GS matic as well, pero yung akin kaya 110 kph basta patag and tuloy-tuloy ang takbo.

    2. starting - minsan bigla na lang ayaw mgstart. parang loose contact siguro kasi ok naman redondo - 1 click nga lang at mabilis lang mgstart.
    Replace your battery terminals and make sure super sikip ang pag connect sa battery. Also double check your cables, make sure that they are in good condition pa.

    3. mahina sa akyatan - hanggang 40kph lang pag umaakyat. worried ako kasi 3 lang kami nksakay nun, pano na kaya pag puno kami.
    Pag akyatan make sure to press the ECT-Power switch, doing so extends the shifting pattern of the tranny para hindi ka mabitin. sanayin mo rin sarili mo in using the "Hold" button on the shifter, para ka lang nag down shift when you press it then release when you feel na naka bwelo ka na.

    4. regarding sa mahina umakyat, hndi kaya kailangan na mgpalit ng clutch disc (di ko alam equivalent nito sa matic eh). or baka pwede rin ung sinasabi nila na palinis ng drum brakes?
    Bwelo lang kelangan mo, kaya kung may mabagal kang sinusundan paunahin mo na sya. Use the ECT-Power switch also.

    5. mabagal ba talaga mg-accelerate ang matic? kasi minsan mataas na rpm di pa rin ngchange gear.
    Pag naka engage a/c compressor medyo mahina talaga. If you need extra power sa arangkada just depress the a/c switch, you'll feel the difference sa hatak nya.

    it's been awhile since i last posted here. para kasing namatay na yung thread na ito, buti naman at na revive.

    update on my 00 Pregio GS A/T:
    after 2 years of moderate service i can confidently say that i have figured out the electrical kinks and quirks of my van.
    the very first problem i encountered right after buying the vehicle was the alternator died on me. replaced it with a 110 Amp rebuilt alternator which cost me around P6500 including labor. even after replacing the alternator i still experienced hard starting symptoms every morning, so i purchased a new Motolite Enduro 3SM batt and installed additional grounding wires. everything went well for about 3 weeks before nag hard starting nanaman kada umaga. so i just kept on having the batt recharged, mga 1 year kong ginagawa yang pag pa recharge since no one could figure out why the batt kept on discharging. until finally na pika na ako when this past June, 2009 the van wouldn't start while I, my wife and my new baby were about to checkout of Asian Hospital. ayaw nanaman mag start ng lintek! so I trooped down to S&R-Alabang and bought the most expensive AC Delco 3SM batt they had . turns out that the Motolite Enduro I bought was not matched for the Pregio's power-hungry engine. kelangan pala 90 amp capacity batt for the Pregio (the Enduro was just 75 amp capacity, kelangan pala yung Motolite Excell binili ko nuon). as soon as the new batt was installed you could hear/feel the diff sa pag start nya, ang bilis bigla mag redondo! everything went well until a couple of weeks ago when biglang bumalik yung pagka hard starting nya sa umaga. then one day nung may lakad kami na importante nang pamilya ayaw nanaman umandar. i wanted to sell the van right then and there, sobrang bwisit na ako sa kanya. despite all the gastos hindi pa din maayos-ayos. later that day nung lumamig na ulo I was trying to figure out the problem by using mere common sense, basic thinking lang kung baga. bakit nauubusan ng charge yung batt kahit hindi mo ginagamit? 3 different electricians na sumilip sa Pregio ko in the past and they all say that there was no ground. so merong pinupuntahan yung charge nung batt for sure, then thinking back there were times in the past na maiinit sa luob ng van ko kahit naka garahe sya the whole day and kahit hindi mainit ang panahon. so obviously there was something producing heat INSIDE the van, so ano ba ang nag proproduce ng heat inside our vehicles??? the answer: ANG LINTEK NA DEFOGGER!!! defective pala yung defogger switch, apparently it had a mind of its own, aandar kung kelan nya gusto kahit hindi mo pindutin ang switch. how did i find out? simple, i pulled out the fuse for the defogger then naki series ako sa auto ng ermat ko so i could start the van kahit na diskarga batt ko. ayun, umandar na ulit ng kusa and yung redondo nya ngayon parang nung bagong bili ko nung AC Delco batt without having to recharge it sa battery dealer. ngayon kahit 3 days straight ko hindi pina andar van ko ang lakas pa din nang redondo pag start.

    minsan talaga maliit lang ang problema but we think of the worst right away, kaya we overlook the simplest and most obvious things.
    ang haba na pala nang post ko, sa ibang thread nalang yung iba kong updates hehe...

    walang kaso sa a/c mo yan sir, may mga sugat na siguro wiring mo sabay dumikit sa body kaya nasunog.

    tip ko lang sa may problema sa aircon, mag dagdag kayo ng pangatlong condenser with aux fan. yung sa akin naka pwesto sa may ilalim ng 2nd row seat, close to the side of the sliding door.. not only will your a/c become cooler but you'll have less overheating problems as well. up to now naka stock radiator pa din ako with the thermostat still intact, awa ng Diyos hindi pa ako naka experience ng overheat (except the time the bumigay water pump ko).

    salamat sa tip nyo sir. balak ko kc convert ang aircon ko ng tulad sa aircon ng hi ace. medyo mabigat sa bulsa 15k daw na budget estimate ng shop na napagtanungan ko. try ko muna tip nyo sir. salamat ulit

    subukan mo kay Yock's, along pedro gil (herran), in paco, near san marcelino. dyan ako dati nakakuha ng wiring harness ng besta (nasunog din dati, e)....

    Ok itong thread na ito dami akong natutuhan about sa van . sa akin lang kasi ay hyundai grace siya , pero sa mga idea na sinasabi ninyo ay halos parehas lang naman.

    Napansin ko lang biglang nawala ang orig. poster dito si sir aga at esnie. una silang dalawa lang ang nagpapalitan ng kuro kuro or idea sa bawat sasakyan nila , pero bigla nawala na ..hindi na nag patuloy sa kanilang pagsisiwalat ng kani kanilang sasakyan kong ano na ang balita sa bawat isa .

    Sana magpatuloy pa din para maraming members dito na makabasa about sa pregio van at even hindi sa pregio basta related naman yon sa iba pang van na tulad ng sa akin.

    btw, may na discover akong bilihan ng pyesa for Korean vehicles. i recently bought 2 new Hankuk rear gas shocks for P850 each. Hankuk is the stock shock absorbers of all Kia and Hyundai vehicles (pati nga mga salamin ng rides natin gawa din nang Hankuk). same price sya if not cheaper than Goodgear and Fronte. anyone in need of parts can get in touch with Jay Castillo at 0917-7448113. Sampaloc, Manila ang location nya but he's willing to meet up at certain areas basta after office hours. mention nyo lang that you got his number from Gil.
