i saw a kia picanto in rockwell last sunday!

it really does look good! though fixing up the grille would definitely improve the looks by a mile!

ayos to ah! ..330K for a brand new car, mukhang introductory price pa lang ito ng Kia,

once na mag-advertise siguro sila sa newspaper eh malamang mga 400K na ito.. at kahit 400K eh mababa pa rin...

nasa 250K ang 2nd hand na mga corolla..hmm... nakakapag-isip ah... hehe

kung parehas lang spec ok lang, hehe 4-5K lang naman pagpinta ng bumpers so mas mura padin :D

ang pumupigil na lang talaga sa kin na kumuha e yung pagdating nung euro version na 4 wheel disc brakes, abs/ebd, air bags and all power. gusto ko talagang hintayin.

ayaw talagang magsalita ng mga taga kia re: kung kelan talaga labas ng higher version. yung agent na nakausap ko ang sabi lang is almost 400k yun, pero pabago-bago kung kelan nila irerelease (minsan 1 or or 6 mos after pa daw). halatang gusto ipaubos yung version ngayon.

any news kung kailan talaga release nito and kung same specs ng sa europe?

Hello Guys,

We just got our Kia picanto last Firday (which I bought for my wife) and its was a nice experience to drive. We drove the car to SLEX at night for the break-in and clock about 280Km. Light blue was the color that my wife picked.

I must say that no wonder 8 out of 9 test drive reviews in europe picked the kia. The feel and handling is superb. Suspension feels solid. power is surprisingly good when zipping around the urban traffic jam. The highway performance is at par with the 1300 cars.

Its a shame that on 70 units were brought in the first batch and we were lucky to have one reserved before it arrived in the Philippines. HEhehehehe.

Panay ang tingin ng tao when we parked at the new caltex north bound of SLEX.

Para din sa mga nagiisisip na walang resale value to, do the math...

If you get an Altis, Civic, etc now (700K up), after 5 years, magstastablize sa used car market to around 350-450K... You lost at least 300K in value...

If you get a Pikanto at 350K, after 5 years, kahit mag 150K nalang ang resale nyan, you only lost 200K, divide that figure by 5 years, that's roughly what you'll spend on cab fares if you didn't have a car.

excited na rin ako sa Picanto. Nag inquire ako sa Kia showroom dito sa malapit sa office namin at ang sabi next month daw lalabas ang Picanto. Sana euro version ang lumabas, sigurado 'eto ang bibilin ko. di pa ako nag decide kung ano kulay...pero parang yun orange ang nagugustuhan ko. ayus!
