    The facelifted Kia Rio

    * For those who still don't know, the Kia Rio is sold as the Kia Pride in Korea.

"As you can see, the car boasts an revamped front fascia, sporting Kia's dog-bone grille, new lighting, and a rehaped, Ford-like lower air intake. As for the car's tail, we'll have to wait and see -- pics haven't hit the web yet."
"also reports that the interior is also revised, featuring a new steering wheel, a mildly reconfigured center stack, updated instrumentation, and a stereo system with integrated Bluetooth connectivity."

ok tong facelift na to ha. the rio badly needs a facelift. matagal-tagal na rin kasi siya sa market.

    the two BIG questions are:
    1) when will it be released?
    2) is it justifiably priced? --- baka naman sing mahal or mas mahal pa ito sa altis knowing CACs pricing scheme

The model in the photo appears to be the high end model.
In other markets the current Rio is available with alloy wheels, they just sell the lower spec model here.

I just wonder if Kia will add ABS and airbags or at least a driver's airbag to the local spec Rio.

The lower priced P664K Vios 1.3E might not have the split folding rear seats of the local spec Rio, but it has a driver's airbag, ABS+EBD and alloy wheels.

At P695K (M/T) and P745K (A/T) the current pre-facelift local spec Rio isn't as affordable as it used to be, it makes you wonder how much more expensive the facelifted Rio will be.

What I really wanted to see in the streets was the hatch version that never came out.

It's a Kia Pride! (says on the plate)

Just went to EK kanina with my family, managed to get around 14-15 Km/L. Almost full tank (titipid , 1000Php kinarga ko = 24 L Shell Unleaded).

I read some tips online and one of them is "planning your trip ahead of time". Tsaka one thing I learned from my Dad, be a smooth driver, don't be too aggressive.

'Pag traffic talaga, kakapanghinayang gas, nasa 7-9 Km/L lang. Kanina travelled around 71Km back and forth.

Hi sir dhome, AFAIK O/D means overdrive pag nakailaw xa it means naka-on sya, ang purpose nun is not to let the engine shift to the maximum gear ng car. for example pag nagoovertake ka, kung nasa fourth gear ka at i-on mo O/D magbababa engine into 3rd gear para may hatak.

i tried it actually many times at ang sarap ng feeling, mafifeel mo talaga ung power tapos ang ganda pa ng sound ng engine. hahaha

-guys correct me if im wrong

Overdrive off simply means the transmission will lock out the highest gear. So maglalaro lang sya sa 1st to 3rd gear kung baga. Usually used when you're going up and down steep roads (e.g. on climbs baka kapusin yung 4th gear (overdrive gear), or when going down so you get a bit of engine braking).

The overdrive (or 4th gear) is usually there, not to really get you faster, but to let the engine run more efficiently at faster speeds. So if you have the overdrive off, then hindi efficient ang pag takbo ng engine mo and most likely why ang taas ng FC mo.

Share lang ako ulit ng FC * 29300+ Km, 13.74 Km/L. Manual. . Naka"3" PMS na ako and I keep my tires inflated * 35 psi all 4. So far it has been my most stable FC 'pag 35 tire pressure ko. City Driving constant 10-11 Km/L. Yung 13.74 ko mixed, kasi gamit ko 'pag madaling araw, wala traffic.
