I also had my unit paint protected by PCI. Tinanong ko yung detailer kung anong special instructions afterwards and according to him tubig lang daw ang pang car wash. Wag daw gamitan ng soap.

Is it the same with you guys?

Guys,

I'd like to share a negative experience with my unit. I had the unit paint protected by PCI. Since malayo kami, nagpa home service ako. While the detailer was washing the unit he noticed a rough paint portion of the front bumper. Magaspang talaga pag hinimas mo. It was puzzling for both me and the detailer kasi there was no noticeable difference in the paint. His theory was baka na touch up daw yung unit because of some damage pero aside from the magaspang na feeling there was no visible indication na na-touch up sya.

Anyway, I just wanted to share para for those who will get their unit or even those who already have, you should consider carefully evaluating the paint of your car.

I informed my agent and he was very sorry about the situation and instructed me to claim it to warranty. Fortunately, the detailer was able to smoothen the surface with some buffing and now the paint feels seamless and very smooth.

Overspray most likely. Baka may pinipinturahan sila in the same area where your car was parked.

Sa paint protection, sa Hillsborough ako nag pa paint protection. 2k flat ang charge may kasama nang carwash. Nag inquire ako sa iba ibang detailers, including PCI and Drivebright at mukhang Hillborough pinaka ok sa aking research.

PCI (Pulse creative innovation):
Carwash-->Dry-->Paint pro application
4-5 hours
Can only be washed with water, maintain with wax
Preferrably thrice a year
2200 PhP

Drivebright
Carwash-->Dry-->Paint pro application
4-5 hours
Can be washed with soap as long as "car shampoo" ang gamit, maintain with wax
Preferrably quarterly application
1400 PhP

Hillborough Eastwood
3-4 hours

Mga sir, ask ko lang kung ano production date ng carens na lumalabas ngayon? Yun ex ko ksi june 2013 pa ( as shown sa seat belt) tnx

Sir production date ng seatbelt yan, not necessarily the car. If JIT ang delivery ng belts sa production ng Carens, pwede na same date o malapit lang. Pero kung matagal stock ng belts before production pwede malayo ang dates nila. Idagdag mo pa yung pag stock sa yard ng Kia (sa Korea ba?), tapos biyahe by sea to us, tapos stock sa Kia Phils at dealer bago mabenta.

saw two carens today sa pasig...ung isa brown na may monster sticker sa wheels naka park lang...tapos may dumaan ulit na white...sign na dumadame na kahit papanon ang owners

Anyways, hindi Colorstable ang nilalagay nila, Black chrome BC35 (light) ang sinasabi ng casa na "3m neutral medium".

so yun narin ang pinalagay ko para pantay pantay ang kulay pero ang preferrence ko talaga ay yung colorstable series kasi as per 3m site, nakaka affect sa wireless signals ung black chrome dahil metallic.

Also, nagpalagay ako ng bumper protector, pinagaya ko yung KIA OEM accessory part A4272ADE00BL (http://www.kia.co.uk/~/media/379A0CE...53FE3331C.ashx)
