hi, actually i just got one noong June 6 2010.

okay naman siya so far, maganda response ng car at easy driving. nagtaka ako despite being 1.0 okay naman siyang humatak pa up hill.. yun lang pag automatic kinuha mo mas kumpleto sa features they said and i think... yung manual walang third/center brake light sa likod, walang airbag.. hindi climate control and aircon. at hindi naadjust hieght ng seat versus the automatic. nahirapan ako sa automatic when i tested it... before buying. i just loved the jvc sound system that comes with it. at mejo maluwag siya.

pero IMHO... yung pagkametal ng kia pride 2011... ang nagustuhan ko. makapal siya... at mabigat. at di ba... binawasan nila harap compared to the old model. buti na lang napansin ko inangat nila makina konti.. fromt he ground.

the lights are also great at night.. ibang klase dating the titanium silver... color nya. so far satisfied ako except the fact... mejo mababa ang harap nya... kakatakot sumayad. mataas ang likod nya. yung harap lang mababa talaga. so mejo prepreno ka sa humps at lubak talaga.. at sobrang ingat ako sa... puddle of water... not sure kung aabutin makina.. nya.

just like to share this sa mga future buyers.

I bought a kia picanto 2012 model , ok xa maganda takbo sa una until after a month may natunog na pag mag shift ka from full stop to primera as well from primera to seguna. Dinala ko sa casa sabi nag mali daw timing gawa ng computerize daw kac makina na. ang tanong ko lang bakit bawal na ipakarga sa kia picnto 2012 ang premium dapat daw unleaded lang at masisisra daw makina pag hindi unleaded , ang alam ko nga mas maganda takbo ng premium.
ano ba yan parang napak sensitive namn nian sasakyan na yan at parang ang dali masira.

ok naman picanto ko.. nagkarga na ako ng unleaded and XCS. no difference in performance with either gas.. i decided on using XCS just this weekend kasi 50 cents lang naman yung difference nung unleaded and nung XCS.

anong klaseng tunog yung naririnig? manual ba yung picanto mo? 1.2 manual picanto yung unit ko..

there suppose to be 3 versions, 1.0L / 1.0LX / 1.2L EX,

^ i agree. sobrang stripped down yung PHL version. i was doing research on the 1.2 model sold abroad and was comparing the specs with the PHL version, sobrang watered down ang nasa pinas..

i can do without the other features such as heated rear mirrors, audio controls, etc. pero sana man lang binbaan nila yung presyo. iisa nga lang yung airbag ng 1.2 variant eh. sa abroad 6. agh.

anyway, i got my 1.2 for the SRP of 625K.

i have projectors and LEDs with DRLs on my unit. baket parang wala yung sa inyo sir? isn't it an option for your car? i also wanted sideskirts for my car pero wala daw stock dito sa pinas hehe.

Panget lang yung FC for the 1.0AT according to what i've read. i think that's natural kasi 1.0 na nga yung makina, ginawa pang matic. mas-kelangan mag-strain nung makina para makapag-shift yung transmission.

i have the 1.2 M/T variant. FC from bicutan to eastwood via libis is around 6.0L / 100KM according to the onboard computer.

highway driving ko sa SLEX was at around 5.5L / 100KM. napababa ko ng 5.0L / 100KM pero sobrang sandali lang.

manual computation for FC gave me 16KM / L. which is not bad i think.

Pretty pointless comparing the local Picanto to foreign variants. Talaga namang mas mahal ang kotse sa Pilipinas. It's not like you can buy a Picanto overseas and have it shipped here. Well actually you can, if you feel like throwing away money on import taxes and bribes.

The local Picanto is priced pretty competitively given its package compared to the competition. At 600k for the 1.0 AT, it competes with the Celerio GL (579k), i10 1.0 (558k) and Spark 1.0 LT (600k). Its got the most modern interior, and has Aux/USB/iPod connectivity. Personally, it's the best looking too.

The Celerio's great too, though. Very cheerful engine that gives its all until it starts to run out of steam a little bit over 80 kph, which actually goes well with its cutesy exterior. Only car in its class with ABS, EBD and dual airbags, too. Most importantly for some, it's the most fuel efficient (especially in manual form). Biggest gripe though is that the back seat is pretty darn cramped.
