I guess ang kalaban nito ang ang recently-facelifted Hyundai i10 and the Suzuki Celerio.
I guess the new Picanto's face is much better than the upcoming Yaris

What happened sa design ng hyundai i10? Ang pangit naman.
The new yaris is nothing compared to the new Rio!

January 29th, 2011 04:27 PM #27what's with that grille trend nanaman?! (same nung sa r35 at evoX then so goes)
i think mas prefer ko yung ibang concept ng next picanto na nakita ko dito sa forums natin, yung parang hawig sa spark. mas muka yun futuristic kesa dito na mukang new yaris eh. mas sakto din tignan new yaris kesa sa new picanto...
is it just me or yung manibela niya eh parang naka ngiti?
another over priced car that we can expect to hit our shores soon, magagaling kasi nagpapatakbo ng kia sa pinas

January 29th, 2011 08:47 PM #28Both the grille and the steering wheel sport their trademark "Tiger Nose"
And Peter Schreyer who used to work for Audi is the designer

lets not compare the picanto to yaris coz they are on different segment.
picanto is to i10, spark, celerio
yaris is to rio, city, versa, fiesta, accent.

January 30th, 2011 08:16 PM #30Not bad.. at all
consider the competition;
1. Hyundai i10
2. Suzuki Celerio
3. Chinese cars.... qq,etc.
4. chevy spark/aveo
personally its a headsup between i10 and the picanto, the huge factor being the 5 year warranty.
but seeing how expensive and unreliable the Kia aftersales experience is.....
The i10 wins by a nose...
Now if the Picanto comes in a very competitive/full of toys mode... then I'm sold!
Methinks the Battle of Carthage scene in Russel Crowe's Gladiator (yr. 2000) is a homage to that...
Traffic!
