June 3rd, 2016 03:25 PM #183Taking delivery tomorrow but I won't be around - the wife will do the honors. What is the normal delivery miles on these Carnivals? Just want to make sure they don't handover a used lemon unit to the wife, hehe.

June 7th, 2016 11:37 PM #189Drove the 11-seater to Laguna and back and....I think I'd like to be driven in rather than drive this car. It rides well enough with a compliant suspension and it cruises effortlessly at 120 with good poke from there if you need to speed up. It won't set the handling course or the dragstrip alight but then it wasn't meant to. With the 4th row folded (I'll need to take that out one day to increase cargo space depth and reduce weight), the 3rd and 2nd rows will have great legroom - I am 5'8" and I could stretch my legs in both. The C-pillar intrudes a little bit on the shoulder of the 3rd row riders so the 2nd row is the most comfy actually. It's pretty well equipped with tons of useful storage nooks and 12V sockets galore. Best thing is the space. It's a pretty relaxing place to be - the 2-tone interior is cool. Worst thing? The stereo. I'm all ears for a sound system upgrade that doesn't render useless the in-steering and on-screen controls.

June 7th, 2016 11:50 PM #190Good idea about the headlight retrofit. Will go to Gary as well. Am pleasantly surprised with the level of kit the 11 seater has. I bought the car without ever seeing it so when i finally got it today I was a bit worried. Well there was no reason to be. The equipment level for this entry level version is really high. Power doors, cruise control, 11 seats, backup camera (though the screen is quite small), lots of buttons to control the doors both on the driver side and the rear passenger area, rear Aircon controls, DRL, Lcd display between the gauges for car settings and trip computer functions, sliding 2nd row seats Etc. cabin looks and feels good. Dash and center console don't look cheap at all. Center armrest has so many configurations and storage. USB ports everywhere.
Am so happy. I got this at the promo price of 1.5m so basically I got a bigger more powerful and more loaded people carrier for the price of an Innova V. Heck it's even cheaper than the 2nd generation LWB carnival I bought new in 2007. And it's soooooo much better in every aspect.
I will probably change the headunit to the new pioneer 8850BT, do the HID retrofit and that's about it.
Will post pics tomorrow.
