i just bought a used 2013 kia rio hatchback and would like to ask owners if meron ba sya speed sensing auto door lock?
or if this is programmable tru a kia dealer just like my previous kia sportage wherein naka disable lang sya thanks.

Not sure if this will help the M/T owners on their fuel economy but I found the gear ratios for the Rio in the Kia UK website. These figures are not published in the Philippines but more likely than not these would also be applicable here.

Just want to share my fc figures.

kia Rio 1.4 EX MT

city drive with heavy traffic (Metro Manila drive and Edsa) - 7km/l. this happened during christmas season. around 2.5 hours ako sa edsa nun. gapang talaga.

city drive with moderate/light traffic - can easily achieve 9-11 km/l

Highway drive 13 - 15 km/l. 90kph - 100kph. konting pitik ng 120 kph.

okay naman fc ko IMO.

Changed the way I drive recently. I started taking advantage of the EFI deleration fuel cut-off. FC is starting to improve. Basically I maintain a gear (2nd-3rd and 4th gears) that keeps me within the 1.8~2.5k rpm range. I avoid using the 5th and 6th gears if i do not go beyond 50km/h and 70km/h respectively. As per trip computer, I improved from 11.2L/100km (8.92km) to 10.7/100km (9.345km/L). The FC improvement was from a day's worth of driving around 30km * 13km/h ave. The 11.2L/100km was for about half-tank worth of driving. I am getting 0.0~1.8L/100km readings even at 30-40km speeds.

Will continue observing for the remainder of the tank.

Not really IMO and my fc was around 7.3 km/l to be exact. I came from SM North that time and got stuck at edsa for more than 2 freaking hours. A friend of mine who owns a 13'city 1.3S also got the same fc figures. gapang talaga from SM north to taft. konting ginhawa lang tapos usad pagong nanaman.

Kahit anong sasakyan malakas fc kung panay idling at traffic. Sa Vios 1.5G (2009) namin, average 8km/L short distance city driving. Average 12km lang during working days. Wala pang speed limit sa Davao.

Now I get around 8km/L with an average speed of 11-12km/h, thanks to the 30km/h speed limit on most roads sa downtown davao. My daily 12km (one way) commute averages 45minutes travel time, that is with normal traffic.

On my recent highway trip, nasa 16.21km/L consumption for a 120km trip.

Its christmas traffic and 2.5hrs sa edsa. even with a 1.2 mirage ganyan fc sa crawling traffic.

Good pm po. May question lang po ako. Nakabili ako ng used kia rio 2012 model. The seller told me that it is a kia 1.4 lx mt premium model sedan. Ask ko lang if may ganung model b talaga? Wala kasi ako mahanap na kamukha ng sakin. Mine is manual 5 speed trans. With touch screen dvd gps tv. Push start button. May led arrow light sa side mirrors. May accent of chromes sa interior and leather seat. The seller told me all stock daw yun. May ganung model po ba tlga?
